Microchip Technology Inc. has just launched new industrial-grade SPE products to help realize the potential of SPE, from MAC-PHYs 10BASE-T1S products that easily connect edge IIoT devices to cloud computing environments, to industrial versions of the PHY 100BASE-T1 TSN (Time Sensitive Networking) transceivers and Ethernet switches that can support higher-speed applications on longer-distance Ethernet networks.

" Microchip is driving the adoption of partitioned architectures in industrial applications with our new MAC-PHYs, which connect to multiple Microchip microcontrollers (MCUs) to lower design complexity and deployment costs, thereby bringing a range of sensors, actuators and other products into the new 10BASE-T1S network infrastructure ," said Matthias Kaestner, Vice President of Microchip.
" With these new 10BASE-T1S MAC-PHYs and the industrial versions of the 100BASE-T1 TSN products, we are supporting easier connectivity between physical and cloud environments while also supporting seamless Ethernet architecture across IIoT and other industrial networking environments ," he added.
