The sixth-generation pickup truck will make its world debut in Thailand on July 26th, featuring a rugged design with a strong off-road character.
The front of the car is striking with its large, square grille featuring two horizontal bars and the logo in the center. The hood appears to be sloping higher than the previous generation.
The lighting arrangement is also different, with slim, high-mounted LED daytime running lights resembling the sharp eyes of a hawk, while the three-element headlights create a 3D effect. The taillights are horizontally T-shaped.
Interior photos show two rotary knobs on the control screen, and in the center console is another rotary knob for selecting driving modes (2H, 4H, 4HLc, and 4LLc), along with the parking brake. The instrument cluster is likely digital.
Mitsubishi is keeping the specifications under wraps, but the Triton is believed to use a new ladder frame chassis shared with the Nissan Navara, but with significant upgrades. The engine is likely to be a 2.4-liter, DOHC, turbodiesel 4N16, replacing the current 4N15 engine.
Like its predecessor, the 2024 Triton will be manufactured in Thailand and exported to other markets including ASEAN, Oceania, Latin America, the Middle East, and Africa.
When it goes on sale, the 2024 Triton will be available in a 4-door Double Cab version, as well as a Mega Cab. A Single Cab version will be introduced later, according to Headlightmag . The Mega Cab is a 4-door version, but the two rear doors are smaller and open in reverse, and there is additional cargo space behind the front seats.
The new generation Mitsubishi Triton will make its world debut in Thailand on July 26th. This marks the sixth generation of the Triton since it first went into production in 1978.
In Vietnam, the Mitsubishi Triton is currently sold in 3 versions, with suggested retail prices ranging from 650 to 905 million VND.
