Pogba is not yet available to make his Monaco debut. |
According to new head coach Sebastien Pocognoli, Pogba is still in the final stages of his injury recovery and a specific return date cannot yet be determined. "We still need another week to intensify the training. That will help him reach his best form before playing," Pocognoli shared at a press conference on October 24th.
The Belgian strategist also stated that the relationship between Pogba and Monaco's medical team is being maintained very well: "He and the doctors are always in close communication to ensure that Pogba can return in the best possible condition and with the most confidence."
On October 10th, Pogba suffered an injury during a training session at Monaco's training center, keeping him sidelined for the past two weeks. Previously, fans had hoped to see Pogba return to the pitch in his new colors, marking a milestone after a long absence. However, the coaching staff decided not to take any risks as the former Manchester United midfielder's fitness was not yet 100%.
Monaco is being cautious about Pogba's situation, especially since he has been away from top-level football for the past two years. Furthermore, the change of manager at the start of the season (when Adi Hutter was sacked) has made it difficult for Monaco's management to utilize Pogba effectively.
