According to information from Mong Cai Border Gate Customs, from January 1, 2025 to April 8, 2025, the total import and export turnover of goods through Mong Cai city reached over 1.3 billion USD, an increase of 45% compared to the same period in 2024.
Specifically, the Mong Cai border gate customs processed 25,870 customs declarations with a total import and export value of US$1,312.11 million, an increase of 38% in declarations and 45% in value compared to the same period in 2024. Of this, export value reached US$754.42 million and import value reached US$557.69 million.
Among import and export goods, there were 20,602 declarations registered on the VNACCS/VCIS system with a total import and export value of 1,141.65 million USD, an increase of 72% in declarations and 47% in value compared to the same period in 2024. Of this, export value was 584.09 million USD and import value was 557.56 million USD.
Border residents' goods accounted for 5,268 declarations with a total value of US$170.46 million, a decrease of 23% in the number of declarations but an increase of 37% in value compared to the same period in 2024. Of this, export value reached US$170.33 million and import value reached US$0.13 million.
The number of newly established businesses opening import and export declarations at Mong Cai border gate customs from the beginning of 2025 is 213, bringing the total number of businesses processing import and export procedures to 814, an increase of 254 businesses compared to the same period in 2024.
Total state budget revenue from import and export activities up to April 8, 2025 reached VND 643.84 billion, an increase of 38% compared to the same period in 2024; achieving 25.65% of the assigned target (VND 2,510 billion), and 22.51% of the aspirational target (VND 2,860 billion).
