To create more public green space in the central area of Dong Nai province, authorities have just approved the revised master plan for the detailed urban planning of Bien Hung Park at a scale of 1/500. According to the plan, the area of Bien Hung Park, considered the "green lung" of Tran Bien ward, will be doubled compared to its current size.

In response to this information, many readers expressed their excitement and anticipation for the park to be expanded and renovated soon, meeting the community's need for shared living space, contributing to improving the quality of urban space, attracting investment, and promoting tourism and service development in the locality.

Expanding green spaces

Bien Hung Park currently covers an area of approximately 4 hectares in Tran Bien Ward. It is the largest park located in the center of Dong Nai province. According to the recently approved revised master plan for detailed urban planning at a scale of 1/500, Bien Hung Park will be expanded to nearly 9 hectares.

Specifically, Bien Hung Park will undergo a reorganization of its architectural space to enhance the landscape value of its green areas and water features, creating a focal point for the area and transforming it into a cultural, civilized, and modern destination with a complete and synchronized technical infrastructure system.

Ms. Nguyen Thi Thanh Thuy (Tran Bien ward) said: Bien Hung Park is considered the "green lung" of the area. It's a place for recreation and activities for many residents in Tran Bien ward and neighboring wards. Every morning, she and her friends go to the park to exercise and relax. "Over the past time, many facilities in the park have been invested in and renovated, such as Bien Hung Lake, the green spaces, the entertainment area, playgrounds, and parking lots… However, these investments have not yet met the recreational needs of the people. If further investment and expansion are made in the future, it will certainly attract more people to visit and enjoy recreational activities," Ms. Thuy said.

Bien Hung Park is planned to become a concentrated green park area, creating a landscaped space for the urban center and meeting the recreational, entertainment, and sports needs of the local population. According to the approved planning project, Bien Hung Park will have main areas including: a central square, a historical and cultural relic area, an outdoor stage area, a sports and recreation area, a youth entertainment area, a quiet resting area, a parking lot combined with commercial services, open spaces, walking paths, trees, and a lake…

It needs to be implemented soon.

Upon hearing the news that Bien Hung Park would be expanded, Mr. Nguyen Van Hieu (Tran Bien Ward) said: He was very happy because the park is one of the important public spaces for many central wards of Dong Nai province. However, currently the park lacks functional areas, so it has not been able to organize large-scale community activities.

“With its prime location bordering three major roads: 30-4, Hung Dao Vuong, and Trinh Hoai Duc, when the new planning is implemented comprehensively and systematically, Bien Hung Park promises to become a modern, multi-functional ‘green lung’ meeting the need for green living spaces, contributing to improving the quality of urban space, attracting investment, and promoting tourism and service development in the locality,” Mr. Hieu expressed his expectations.

The expansion and redevelopment of the park is also a concrete step in the strategy of developing green infrastructure, aiming towards a more sustainable and livable urban model in Dong Nai. Responding to the information about expanding Bien Hung Park to nearly 9 hectares, quoted on the Dong Nai Newspaper Facebook page, many readers agreed with the expansion and replanning of Bien Hung Park. “With a larger area, the park can integrate more playgrounds, sports facilities, walking paths, exercise areas, picnic areas… creating a community space and improving the quality of life,” wrote Facebook user Kieu Thuy.

In addition, many readers expressed their desire for the expansion of Bien Hung Park to be implemented soon. They argued that if the plan is "planned but then left unfinished," the prolonged implementation time will cause many difficulties and affect the lives of people in the project area.
