After shining at the U23 Asian Championship, Dinh Bac has caught the attention of many foreign clubs. According to the newspaper 163, Guangxi Hengchen, a newly emerging Chinese club in the third division, is reportedly interested in recruiting the top scorer of the Vietnamese U23 team.
Guangxi Hengchen is the team that recently won the Chinese third division and will be promoted to the second division next season.

The 163 newspaper commented: "Nguyen Dinh Bac, the top scorer of the 2026 U23 Asian Championship, has caught the attention of a Chinese club. His potential destination could be Guangxi Hengchen, a newcomer to the Chinese second division. If this deal materializes, it will certainly be a new direction in the strategy of recruiting foreign players for Chinese clubs."
The newspaper also predicted that Dinh Bac's transfer fee would be relatively high. The newspaper highlighted three noteworthy details in this deal.
The 163 newspaper wrote: “Firstly, Nguyen Dinh Bac is only 21 years old but has performed outstandingly in the Vietnamese U23 team. He was a key factor in helping the Vietnamese U23 team win third place overall, contributing 4 goals and 2 assists, thus winning the top scorer title. Dinh Bac is considered the number one star of the Vietnamese U23 team and is capable of playing in the Chinese second division.”
Secondly, Nguyen Dinh Bac's goal tally in the U23 Asian Championship is equal to that of Japan's U23 main striker, Sato Ryunosuke (4 goals). However, Sato is valued at 1.2 million euros and is an absolute key player in the Japanese national league, while Dinh Bac's current transfer value is only around 300,000 euros.
This suggests that Dinh Bac could be a quality signing at an affordable price for Guangxi Hengchen FC.

Thirdly, Guangxi Hengchen is also a good option for Dingbei. This team just won the Chinese third division championship last season, having secured promotion five rounds early. They are currently building the first professional stadium in Guangxi province.
This club is being hailed as the "next Guangzhou Evergrande" of Chinese football, a promising newcomer. More importantly, the team has successfully nurtured Fernando, the top scorer in the Chinese third division, demonstrating their experience in developing young strikers.
However, the 163 newspaper also expressed concern: "There is a view that Dinh Bac did not need to leave a top league like V-League just for money to join a club in a lower-level Chinese league."
Instead, he should consider higher-level leagues like Japan's J-League or South Korea's K-League to maintain his form. However, the Chinese second division seems more suitable for a 21-year-old than moving to top-tier leagues in South Korea or Japan.”
