A Chinese citizen was rescued while drifting on the Ka Long River.

(PLVN) - On April 16, information from the Mong Cai International Border Gate Border Guard Station - Quang Ninh Province Border Guard said that the unit had just successfully rescued a Chinese citizen who was swept away by water on the Ka Long River.

Previously, at around 5:30 p.m. on April 15, on the Ka Long River, opposite marker 1368 (2), while guarding and controlling, officers of the Mong Cai International Border Gate Border Guard Station discovered 1 person swept away by the water.

Immediately afterwards, the Station Command directed the unit's forces to the above location to organize a successful rescue, the unit's medical staff conducted first aid measures and initial health checks. Currently, the victim's health has stabilized.

Mr. Vuong Ai Than was cared for and medically examined by the Border Guard.

Through investigation and verification, the victim's name is Vuong Ai Than, born in 1988, address: Nam Can village, Tam Huong district, Hunan province (China). While traveling in Dong Hung (China), due to carelessness, he dropped his personal bag into the border river (Ka Long river). Vuong Ai Than climbed down the river to pick up the dropped bag. While trying to pick up the bag, due to the rising and strong river water, Vuong Ai Than was swept away to the area opposite landmark 1368 (2).

At about 20:40 on the same day, Mong Cai International Border Guard Station handed over Mr. Vuong Ai Than to Dong Hung Border Guard Inspection Station through Mong Cai International Border Gate.
