For the first time, a special wedding was held on an old train car at Da Lat station of Vietnam Railways Corporation, leaving an unforgettable impression and emotion in the hearts of locals and tourists from all over.

On a late afternoon in Da Lat, in the chilly weather with a little drizzle, an old train engine pulling flower-decorated carriages left Da Lat station to the melodious sound of a violin. On the 7km journey from Da Lat station to Trai Mat and back, lasting 2 hours, was the wedding of groom Nguyen Xuan Thinh and bride Le Tuyet Hoa, both employees working at the station.

Outside, the 21-meter long, 3-meter wide train car was decorated with splendid flowers, attracting the attention of many visitors. Inside, a long table was set up with wine, candy and fruit for friends, relatives and members of the Vietnam Railways Company to celebrate with the young couple. Along the train car, a stage backdrop was set up next to the wall, with the names of the couple Xuan Thinh and Tuyet Hoa beautifully attached, ready for the first wedding on an ancient train car.

In a cozy, happy atmosphere, the melodious music slowly moves the train, rituals such as pouring wine and raising glasses are solemn but no less romantic. The ancient train named happiness brings friends, relatives and acquaintances from both sides to experience a new wedding with many interesting things.

MC My Lien shared for the first time at a "mobile" wedding on a train: "With more than 2 years of experience as an MC in Da Lat, I mainly host in restaurant halls, wedding conference centers with large stage spaces, vibrant lights and sounds, and fixed program content. Today, I have a new experience of hosting a wedding in a new space at Da Lat station. I find it quite interesting and fun, and most importantly, these will be extremely precious moments for the bride, groom, relatives and friends of both sides when experiencing the 14 km journey from Da Lat to Trai Mat."
Mr. Dang Sy Manh - Chairman of the Board of Members of Vietnam Railways Corporation said: In the past time, in order for domestic and foreign tourists to have new experiences when coming to the station and especially to celebrate the 130th anniversary of Da Lat's establishment and development, Vietnam Railways Corporation has implemented many activities such as coffee train; free performances of violin, guitar, harmonica by professional artists; installing wifi, serving photography, filming, free drinking water; using LED positioning lights at night to highlight the unique and ancient architectural features at Da Lat station.
“In addition to testing the wedding model on the train this time, the unit has been implementing many other types of services to be able to exploit it to the maximum and effectively. Through research and practical surveys, we have seen that the railway industry is not only a type of passenger transport from point A to point B, but the industry is also considered a historical witness with many cultural stories, ancient architectural works... Through that, the industry hopes that friends and domestic and foreign tourists when coming to Da Lat station or stations in some provinces and cities will have new and interesting experiences through the stories of the people and of their country that the railway industry brings”, said the Chairman of the Board of Members of Vietnam Railways Corporation.
Da Lat Railway Station is one of the most prominent and iconic architectural works of the city of thousands of flowers. Da Lat Railway Station is also a typical work designed by two French architects Paul Moncet and Reveron and completed in 1936. In 2001, Da Lat Railway Station was recognized as a national cultural and historical relic and has increasingly become an attractive destination for tourists. The railway line is only 7 km long but is the only remaining mark of the old Thap Cham - Da Lat railway line. Currently, the ancient train operates regularly every day of the week and serves an average of 4 trains with more than 1,000 passengers.
