In the days leading up to the Lunar New Year, while families are busy preparing, the members of the 11/11 Thai Nguyen Charity Club are even busier caring for the less fortunate. This involves bringing the New Year spirit to the poor and those facing difficult circumstances.
The story began more than 10 years ago (2015), when a group of friends born in 1974 in Thai Nguyen, while having tea together, conceived the idea of "acting righteously and honorably." To make it "legitimate and proper," they were encouraged and permitted to operate by the authorities, and the Thai Nguyen 11/11 Humanitarian Club was established with nearly 20 members.
To achieve the goal of sharing and helping those in need, club members contribute their own money and also encourage relatives and friends to participate in supporting the cause. From the beginning, all collected money and donated items have been delivered to the rightful recipients, thus further strengthening the members' trust in the club.
Ms. Vu Thi Mai, the club's chairperson, said: "Money and in-kind donations transferred to the club's account are used openly and transparently, with everyone discussing and being informed. This is the solid foundation for the club's continued strong development. For example, during the sponsorship process, the club assigns members to record videos and take photos to share on the group and several social media platforms, and then provides a separate 'report' to the sponsor."
Through vivid visual representations, clear and coherent methods, and the meticulous and transparent record-keeping of donations and gifts, the club's activities have spread widely throughout the community.

During the same period, the number of people participating and supporting the club increased, from nearly 20 initial members to 86 members today. In particular, the trust and support of philanthropists towards the club has grown significantly, including Vietnamese people living abroad.
In 2025 alone, the club raised over 5 billion VND and many valuable items to distribute to the poor, impoverished households, and those who unfortunately fell into special circumstances.
Word spread, and many people in difficult circumstances sought help from the club. One such case was Hoang Thai Son, born in 2011, from Um hamlet, Quyet Thang ward, who was injured in an accident while using explosives to make firecrackers, resulting in the amputation of his left leg, a broken right leg, and a broken right arm.
Then, Ly Minh Hieu, a student in class 10A3 at Tran Phu High School, was involved in a traffic accident that resulted in a fractured pelvis and a fractured right femur… Upon hearing the news, the club mobilized contributions and raised 11 million VND to help Son and 17 million VND to help Hieu.
Many unfortunate individuals facing difficult circumstances have received emergency support from the club, significantly reducing the financial burden of their treatment. In recent years, the club has consistently upheld a deeply humane mission: reaching out to the poorest, most suffering, and most unfortunate people.
With the Lunar New Year of the Horse 2026 fast approaching, members of the 11/11 Thai Nguyen Charity Club are busier than ever preparing heartwarming New Year meals for impoverished patients. Furthermore, they must ensure that the gifts entrusted to them by benefactors are delivered to the intended recipients.
