On the morning of May 27, at the training conference on inspection and examination of the 2025 High School Graduation Exam, Director of the Department of Quality Management, Ministry of Education and Training Huynh Van Chuong noted some differences in the organization of the high school graduation exam for candidates studying under the 2006 General Education Program and the 2018 General Education Program.
Regarding the number of multiple-choice test papers that need to be packed in each bag, for the test papers for candidates following the 2006 GeneralEducation Program, each bag needs to print 24 test codes. Meanwhile, for the test papers for candidates following the 2018 General Education Program, the number of test papers printed corresponds to the number of candidates in each exam room.
"For example, if a room has 10 candidates taking the Physics exam, print from code 1 to code 10," said Director Huynh Van Chuong.
Regarding the invigilation , the difference lies in the fact that candidates taking the 2006 General Education Program only need to be present 10 minutes before the second subject in the combined/elective exam is scheduled to take place. Meanwhile, candidates taking the 2018 General Education Program must be present from the beginning of the exam and wait in the waiting room before being called into the exam room.
The break time between two subjects in the optional/combined exam of candidates under the 2006 General Education Program is 10 minutes, while candidates under the 2018 General Education Program have a break of 15 minutes.
Regarding the handling of extra exam papers , in the examination room for candidates following the 2006 General Education Program, the secretary will collect and store the extra exam papers in the Examination Council room. Meanwhile, in the examination room for candidates following the 2018 General Education Program, the invigilator is responsible for preserving the extra exam papers in the examination room.
The process of collecting elective exams /combined exams (Natural Sciences or Social Sciences) is also different. For candidates following the 2006 General Education Program, each subject is contained in a separate exam bag; while for candidates following the 2018 General Education Program, each exam session is contained in a test bag, and the elective exam session will have 2 test bags.
For the Geography subject, candidates taking the 2006 General Education Program are allowed to use Atlases in the exam room according to regulations. Meanwhile, candidates taking the 2018 General Education Program are not allowed to bring Atlases into the exam room.
According to the Ministry of Education and Training, the 2025 High School Graduation Exam is the first exam under the new General Education Program. In addition, this year's exam is also organized for students studying in the 2006 and 2018 general education programs.
According to the registration data, of the approximately 1.17 million candidates for the exam, approximately 25,000 candidates will take the exam under the 2006 General Education Program. This will also affect the exam supervision, exam room arrangement, as well as exam questions, printing, and copying, etc.
