According to British media, Manuel Ugarte is likely to be sold by Manchester United to make way for a squad overhaul in the summer of 2026.

MU has lost patience with Ugarte.

Ugarte was signed by MU from PSG in 2024 for an initial fee of £42.3 million, which could rise to £50.75 million depending on add-ons. However, after two disappointing seasons, the 25-year-old only made 10 starts last season and is no longer part of the long-term plans of the Old Trafford club.

According to the Premier League's Profit and Sustainability Regulation (PSR), Manchester United needs to generate around £25.38 million to avoid recording a loss on the books. However, the club's management is reportedly willing to sell for less than this amount if they receive a suitable offer.
