MU successfully recruited Benjamin Sesko at a surprising price

MU has just reached an agreement to transfer Benjamin Sesko with RB Leipzig, although the bid is lower than that of competitor Newcastle.

Sesko is set to undergo a medical in Manchester, after RB Leipzig accepted a £66.5m bid, plus £7.3m in add-ons, from United.

Previously, the German team also agreed to an offer of 71.5 million pounds paid immediately, plus 2.5 million pounds in additional fees from Newcastle.

However, Benjamin Sesko decided to join the Red Devils, even though the Manchester team's bid was lower than Newcastle's.

The Slovenian striker will complete the new attack line for MU this season, following the appearance of two other expensive recruits, Bryan Mbeumo and Matheus Cunha.

At 22, Sesko has scored 39 goals in 87 games for RB Leipzig, including 21 strikes last season.

Sesko's move to MU is a heavy blow to Newcastle, as they continue to miss out on important targets, amid Isak's desire to leave.

The Sesko deal is about to be completed, raising many questions about the future of Rasmus Hojlund - the striker who has been a big disappointment recently.

According to sources, the Manchester team is willing to cut a loss and sell the Danish striker for just £30 million, less than half of the £72 million they spent to bring Hojlund from Atalanta.
