MU was disappointing.

Against a Newcastle side in inconsistent form, and missing several key players due to injury, Man Utd were unable to capitalize on their opportunities to earn points. In fact, the "Red Devils" suffered a humiliating defeat, conceding a goal in the 90th minute despite playing with a man advantage.

The "honeymoon period" of unbeaten run under manager Michael Carrick ended in the worst possible way. Nevertheless, MU still holds third place because Aston Villa also suffered a defeat against Chelsea in this round. However, the race for Champions League qualification has become more intense, with the gap between the third and sixth-placed teams now only 3 points.

Newcastle entered the match under considerable pressure, having won only one of their last seven games. However, fueled by the enthusiastic support at St James' Park, they started with great energy. Kieran Trippier nearly opened the scoring with a cross that hit the post, while Lewis Hall and Harvey Barnes both missed golden opportunities.

Meanwhile, Manchester United gradually regained control of the game towards the end of the first half with dangerous shots from Kobbie Mainoo, Matheus Cunha, and Bryan Mbeumo, but none could beat Aaron Ramsdale.

Drama erupted at the end of the first half when Jacob Ramsey was sent off after receiving a second yellow card. However, Newcastle were surprisingly awarded a penalty after Bruno Fernandes fouled Anthony Gordon. Gordon converted the penalty to open the scoring, before Casemiro headed in the equalizer just before halftime.

Casemiro's goal wasn't enough to save Manchester United from defeat.

In the second half, despite playing with ten men, Newcastle still put up a strong fight. Ramsdale made a series of excellent saves against shots from Leny Yoro and Joshua Zirkzee.

Just when the match seemed destined for a draw, Osula shone with a brilliant dribble from the right wing and a beautiful curling shot into the far corner, securing an emotional 2-1 victory for the home team. This also marked the fourth consecutive time Manchester United have suffered a defeat against Newcastle on their home ground.
