Casemiro's future at MU will soon be decided. |
Transfer expert Fabrizio Romano claims that Manchester United's management has no plans to keep Casemiro and remains committed to letting the 34-year-old leave Old Trafford after this season. As proof, the club has not sent any contract extension offer to the former Real Madrid star.
The news emerged shortly after Casemiro shone in Manchester United's 3-1 victory over Aston Villa, a crucial match in the race for a Champions League spot. In this game, the Brazilian midfielder not only scored the opening goal but also demonstrated leadership in midfield, helping the team control the game.
His impressive performance led the crowd at Old Trafford to chant Casemiro's name repeatedly, expressing their desire for him to continue with the team for another season. However, according to the Italian journalist, this did not change the management's stance.
"Casemiro has made his own decision, and so has Manchester United. Up to this point, there have been no negotiations from Manchester United to persuade the player to stay," Romano stated.
Previously, Casemiro publicly announced his departure to avoid prolonged speculation. Manchester United are preparing for a major overhaul of their midfield in the summer of 2026. However, parting ways with a seasoned and influential player like Casemiro will undoubtedly make the Red Devils' transition process anything but easy.
