Mbeumo is set to join MU this summer.

According to ESPN , the basic terms of the deal have been agreed, with both parties discussing additional fees and payment methods. The fee is around £60 million, with £5 million in add-ons, bringing the total value of the deal to £65 million, the figure Brentford were hoping for.

The negotiations between the two sides are said to have gone smoothly. The "Bees" agreed to let MU pay in installments. It is likely that the "Red Devils" will complete the deal before coach Ruben Amorim and his team return to training on July 7. Mbeumo has had time to adapt to MU from the beginning.

The Athletic confirmed that Mbeumo's preference for a move to United was a factor in the deal moving forward, despite interest from Tottenham. The player is awaiting approval from Brentford to undergo a medical and complete the formalities to join the new team.

Previously, MU successfully recruited Matheus Cunha from Wolves for a fee of 62.5 million pounds. The Brazilian player made a strong impression at Molineux and promised to join Mbeumo to strengthen the attack of the Old Trafford club.

Mbeumo is known for his pace, technique and versatile finishing. Since joining Brentford for just £5.8m in 2019, he has scored 70 goals in 242 games in all competitions, including 42 in the Premier League in 136 appearances.

Last season, the 25-year-old striker scored 20 goals and had 7 more assists to help Brentford finish 10th in the Premier League.
