Exam season – that sound has echoed through countless seasons of blooming flamboyant trees, lingering in the beautiful aspirations of generations of students in Ha Tinh . Every year, in June, those aspirations are re-written with the determination of the candidates and the support of the entire community.

Ninth-grade students have just completed the entrance exam for 10th grade high school.

Under the scorching June sun, nearly 17,000 ninth-grade students completed the entrance exam for 10th grade at Ha Tinh High School and Ha Tinh Specialized High School. This year's exam was considered relatively easy, serious, and in accordance with regulations, but for those students facing the challenge of an exam for the first time, the emotions and memories of the exam still linger.

Tran Thi Thao Vy, a student from Cuong Gian Secondary School (Nghi Xuan), shared: “My dream is to study and train at Ha Tinh Specialized High School, so throughout the years, I have continuously strived to accumulate knowledge to prepare for this exam. I still have a little regret that my essay wasn't perfect, but I tried my best to express myself and convey my aspirations in the exam. I hope my dream will come true.”

For 12th-grade students, the high school graduation exam is a crucial milestone. The aspirations, beliefs, and hopes of 12 years of studying are affirmed in this final "obstacle" of their student life. This year's exam season starts earlier than in previous years, making it a peak period for students to accelerate and race against time.

The sun still blazes down on the roads to school, and the atmosphere in each classroom seems even hotter due to the anxious anticipation of exam day. In these final lessons, teachers and students are still diligently accumulating knowledge. Teachers convey their hopes for a bright future for their students through every word and every lesson. Each school and each teacher employs flexible methods to share the burden with their students. This serves as a great source of encouragement for them.

Ms. Tran Thi My Ha, a teacher at Dong Loc High School (Can Loc), said: “Having accompanied graduating students through many exam seasons, we always understand and share their anxieties. Therefore, each teacher always tries their best to impart valuable knowledge and experience to help them confidently enter the upcoming exams. At this time, teachers are also friends and family, ready to listen to their concerns and worries, share their pressures, encourage and support them on their journey to conquer knowledge.”

In each classroom, teachers and students continue to diligently accumulate knowledge.

The exam season not only embodies the aspirations of students but also the continuation of unfulfilled dreams for parents, and the expectations of schools and society for a new generation. Over 34,000 candidates participating in these exams also means over 34,000 families are watching over their children with a range of emotions: anxiety, anticipation, and waiting. Behind the students' journey through this crucial exam, there is always the silent sacrifice of their parents.

Continuing the tradition of a studious rural area, with the spirit of everyone working together to support the candidates, the exam season is not only a time to sow the hopes of students, parents, and teachers, but also carries the faith and hope of the entire community and society. This is demonstrated through the plans and strategies of various forces and sectors to ensure the safety of the exams; and through volunteer activities to support and assist candidates and their families at the examination sites. These actions have ignited faith and created motivation for the students.

The examination venues have been fully equipped with the necessary facilities as per regulations.

These days, the education sector is urgently preparing the necessary conditions to ensure that the 2023 High School Graduation Examination takes place safely, seriously, and in accordance with regulations.

Mr. Nguyen Quoc Anh, Deputy Director of the Department of Education and Training, said: “To prepare the students, the department has directed schools to effectively carry out teaching and review tasks, ensuring students have sufficient knowledge and skills. The schools – chosen as examination centers – have also seriously and meticulously prepared the necessary facilities and personnel for the exams according to regulations. Everything is ready to welcome the candidates.”
