The ancient capital Hoa Lu is not only surrounded by ramparts of overlapping mountain ranges, but also the Ngo Dong, Hoang Long, Sao Khe rivers... as a witness of national history, embracing a system of extremely rich tangible and intangible cultural heritage. The unique traditional folk festivals of the ancient capital are all held on the river, creating a large cultural space, crystallizing beautiful humanistic values, rich in national cultural identity, partly showing the diversity and richness in the spiritual life of the people of Trang An.
