Seaweed season in Nhon Hai

Every year, around the end of May - July, the seaweed season appears in Nhon Hai sea area. At this time, looking from above, the sea surface of Nhon Hai commune seems to be covered with a layer of splendid golden carpet, stretching over a large area, creating a beautiful natural picture.

Nhon Hai is a coastal peninsula commune of Quy Nhon city, Binh Dinh province. The seaweed season here usually appears in the summer and is most beautiful from about June to August every year, attracting many tourists to visit and explore .

Author Nguyen Tien Trinh with the photo series "Nhon Hai - Seaweed Season" has depicted the beauty of seaweed season with the yellow color of seaweed blending with the blue color of the sea creating a beautiful natural picture, making tourists fascinated when visiting Nhon Hai fishing village. The photo series was submitted by the author to the Photo and Video Contest "Happy Vietnam - Happy Vietnam", organized by the Ministry of Information and Communications .

Nhon Hai fishing village is located on Phuong Mai peninsula, about 10km from Quy Nhon city center. Most of the people live by fishing, aquaculture and tourism services.

In recent years, Nhon Hai has welcomed many tourists to visit. The peaceful, rustic village, still retaining the characteristics of a fishing village near Quy Nhon urban area, makes tourists excited.

Especially from May to July of the solar calendar every year is the dry season, coming to this fishing village on the outskirts of Quy Nhon, you will admire the seaweed beds floating close to the water surface.

Seen from above, the yellow color of seaweed blends with the blue color of the sea to create a beautiful natural picture.

You can also see fishermen's nets being pulled on basket boats, adding to the vivid natural picture.

Seaweed blends with rich coral species in Nhon Hai

Tourists can dive to see coral reefs next to beautiful rocks when coming to Nhon Hai.

Sup boating on the blue water and watching the yellow seaweed carpet is what many tourists say they want to experience when coming to Nhon Hai this season.

With the policy of preserving the marine ecosystem to develop sustainable tourism, in recent years the local government has protected and prevented people from harvesting seaweed, although seaweed is used as a food with high nutritional value and brings great income to the people in the area. In addition to preserving the ecosystem and bringing natural beauty to tourists, the large seaweed fields are also the habitat of many types of seafood./.
