In response to the "Winter Volunteer Program - Spring Volunteer Program," the Youth Union of Van Thang commune launched the "Green Sticky Rice Cake - Warming Hearts for Tet" program with the goal of raising funds to support disadvantaged families and children in the commune. To generate funds for the program, the Youth Union organized many creative fundraising activities, attracting a large number of union members, young people, and local residents to participate.
Highlights of the series of activities included the "OCOP Product Booth - Ha Giang Mandarin Oranges" and the "Fundraising Car Wash" organized in central areas of the commune. Through the OCOP booth, the commune's Youth Union directly connected with several cooperatives in Tuyen Quang province to bring high-quality mandarin oranges to the locality for fundraising. At the end of the campaign, 5 tons of mandarin oranges were sold, contributing to the promotion of clean agricultural products and generating additional resources for social welfare activities.

In addition, the Youth Union actively mobilized the support of agencies, units, businesses, and philanthropists in the area. Thanks to the positive response from union members, young people, and residents, the total amount of money raised for the campaign reached over 50 million VND.
From this fund, many community care activities have been implemented. The Youth Union of the commune organized a gift stall called "Tet Dresses for Children," donating 200 new dresses to students at preschools and primary schools in the area. These gifts, though small, brought joy to the children at the beginning of the new year, demonstrating the care and sharing of young people towards children in difficult circumstances.
In addition, youth union members in the commune directly participated in wrapping banh chung (traditional Vietnamese rice cakes) to implement the "Green Banh Chung - Warming Hearts for Tet" program. These banh chung, prepared with contributions from youth union members and benefactors, were then donated along with 100 gift packages, each worth 500,000 VND, to disadvantaged families in the area, helping them to have a more fulfilling Spring season.

Comrade Nguyen Thi Hanh, Secretary of the Youth Union of Van Thang commune, said: "To attract union members, young people, and the general public to participate, propaganda work has been emphasized from the beginning. Union members have designed images and communication content on social media platforms such as Facebook and Zalo to introduce the program, and regularly update the list of people participating and supporting in a public and transparent manner. As a result, the program has received a positive response from the people; many people participate in purchasing products because of their quality, reasonable prices, and humanitarian significance. The funds from these activities have contributed to providing practical support for disadvantaged families and children in the area, helping them have a warmer Spring season."
Beyond providing practical support to those in need, the activities in the "Winter Volunteer Program - Spring Volunteer Program" also serve as an environment for youth union members to hone their skills, foster a sense of responsibility, and develop their ability to organize community-oriented activities. From practical implementation at the grassroots level, the movement also contributes to strengthening the bonds and gathering of young people, creating motivation for all levels of the Youth Union and Youth Association to continue spreading the positive values of volunteer work.

The "Warm Tet" program, organized annually by the Ly Nhan Youth Volunteer Club, is a typical activity in the "Winter Volunteer - Spring Volunteer" series. Launched in 2014, the program not only brings a warm spring atmosphere to students and local residents but also fosters connection and sharing through many practical activities, thereby spreading the volunteer spirit of young people. Each year, the club selects a locality to organize the program with a suitable theme. This year, the Ly Nhan Youth Volunteer Club, in coordination with the Bac Ly Commune Youth Union, implemented the activity at Chan Ly Secondary School with the theme "Spring Connection 2026".
As part of the program, many meaningful gifts were also presented to disadvantaged families and underprivileged students in the area, helping to encourage them to strive for excellence in their studies and bringing a warm and loving Spring season.

Funding for the program was raised through various fundraising activities such as "recycling waste," "exchanging paper for trees," and "car wash fundraising," implemented by the Bac Ly Commune Youth Union in coordination with the Ly Nhan Volunteer Youth Club, along with the support of sponsors. This not only created resources for social welfare activities but also contributed to raising environmental awareness and fostering a sense of community responsibility among youth union members.
According to Mr. Vu Quang Huy, Head of the Ly Nhan Youth Volunteer Club, the club's goal is to build educational volunteer models, thereby creating a ripple effect among young people and students. The club's activities always focus on practical actions, closely following the action programs of the Youth Union at all levels, while also emphasizing social skills and soft skills education for young people, contributing to attracting and gathering young people to participate in community activities.
One of the highlights of this year's program was the activity of guiding students in making banh chung (traditional Vietnamese rice cakes). Under the guidance of volunteers, hundreds of students from Chan Ly Secondary School directly experienced the traditional steps of making banh chung, such as washing leaves, preparing ingredients, wrapping, and boiling the cakes. This activity not only helped the students better understand the atmosphere of the traditional Tet holiday but also contributed to fostering their love for the traditional cultural values of the nation.

Vu Uyen Nhi, a student from Chan Ly Secondary School in Bac Ly commune, shared: “I am very happy to participate in the program and directly learn how to wrap banh chung (traditional Vietnamese rice cakes) with the volunteer team. Through this activity, I not only understand more about the meaning of the traditional Tet holiday but also experience teamwork, preparing banh chung to give to underprivileged children.”
Within the framework of the "Winter Volunteer Program - Spring Volunteer Program" in 2026, all levels of the Youth Union and Youth Association throughout the province simultaneously implemented numerous community-oriented activities, attracting a large number of members and young people to participate. The program, launched and implemented by the Ninh Binh Provincial Youth Union in all communes and wards across the province, included many practical activities linked to the real needs of the people. Highlights included activities for community health, for younger generations, sharing with farmers, and many social welfare projects related to digital transformation, environmental protection, and climate change adaptation. Through these programs, the spirit of sharing and responsibility for the community among Ninh Binh's youth was spread at the beginning of the year.
Comrade Vu Tran Tung Anh, Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Youth Union and President of the Vietnam Youth Union of Ninh Binh province, said: The "Winter Volunteer Program - Spring Volunteer Program" is organized with the goal of jointly helping disadvantaged youth and people, especially in areas facing many difficulties, contributing to the goal of sustainable poverty reduction and ensuring social security. Through activities of care and support during Tet (Lunar New Year), the program has helped to boost the morale of families to overcome difficulties and welcome the new year in a warmer atmosphere. This is also one of the major social activities of the province's youth, demonstrating the tradition of mutual assistance of the nation and the sense of responsibility of youth to the community. At the same time, through volunteer activities, union members and young people have more opportunities to train, contribute, and grow; contributing to strengthening unity and gathering youth, thereby consolidating and improving the quality of activities of the Youth Union and Association in the area.

Concluding the series of activities of the "Winter Volunteer - Spring Volunteer" program, the gifts distributed not only had material value but also conveyed the feelings and sharing spirit of young people with the community. In the warm spring atmosphere, the spirit of volunteerism became a bond connecting union members and young people with the people, contributing to spreading good humanitarian values in society.
Through concrete actions, the movement continues to affirm the pioneering role of young people, while also sowing more "seeds of spring" of compassion, responsibility, and a desire to contribute to the community.
