The image of an Uber driver with the same name and face as midfielder Mykhailo Mudryk is "causing a storm" on social networks.

English football fans were left in a state of shock after a screenshot of the Uber app went viral on social media, showing a driver named Mykhailo who looked exactly like Chelsea midfielder Mudryk. The driver was driving a grey Tesla, with over 6,000 trips and a 4.91-star rating.

Many netizens were amused and joked: “Looks like Mudryk found a side job during his suspension!” Another account commented: “At least Mudryk is still maintaining his form – an average of 4.91 stars after 6,000 trips!”.

Although the image of an Uber driver named Mykhailo is just a coincidence, this story still brings laughter to fans during a gloomy period in the Ukrainian star's career.

In June, the English Football Association (FA) confirmed that Mudryk had been charged with an anti-doping violation. The 24-year-old Ukrainian has since been banned indefinitely pending the outcome of the investigation. His future at Chelsea has therefore become uncertain.
