Bich Tuyen's busy year

Appearing on the tryout list for the Korean National Volleyball Championship, Bich Tuyen received high expectations from Vietnamese fans. Unfortunately, Bich Tuyen was not selected.

Nevertheless, this absence has become an even greater motivation for Bich Tuyen ( LPBank Ninh Binh Club) to further improve her professional skills.

Along with Thanh Thúy, Bích Tuyền emerged as a phenomenon in Vietnamese volleyball. Through this, she received attention from volleyball fans across the continent and the world . The fact that many international volleyball leagues are interested in Bích Tuyền has led fans to wonder: Where would she like to go on her first overseas trip?

We need to work harder if we're not selected.

Vietnamese volleyball fans have a partial answer as the name Bich Tuyen appears on the list of players registered for trials for the 2025-2026 Korean national championship season. The 24-year-old opposite hitter is also the only Vietnamese name on this list.

With coach GS Caltex present in Vietnam to watch Bich Tuyen's match in the national championship and showering her with praise, it seemed Bich Tuyen had a real chance to play in South Korea. However, in the end, Bich Tuyen was not among the 7 Asian foreign players selected by 7 South Korean clubs.

Speaking to Tuổi Trẻ newspaper, Bích Tuyền said: "When I found out I wasn't selected, I wasn't sad. I think I still have plenty of time to improve myself. Besides South Korea, I don't have any specific plans to compete abroad in any other country."

At 24 years old, Bich Tuyen still has plenty of time ahead of her in the professional arena. Many experts predict that it's only a matter of time before this hitter from Vinh Long goes abroad to compete. The question is how Bich Tuyen will manage her time to balance her domestic commitments with playing overseas.

Going abroad had to be carefully planned to balance playing for both the national team and my club, LPBank Ninh Binh, in their respective tournaments.

BICH TUYEN

I want to accomplish three tasks.

It's clear that the two aforementioned tasks have taken up almost all of Bich Tuyen's time. According to Bich Tuyen's 2025 plan, the first three months will be dedicated to participating in domestic tournaments including the Hoa Lu Cup, the first phase of the National Championship, and the Hung Vuong Cup. Following that will be a four-month summer training camp with the national team for international competitions. Finally, at the end of the year, she will prepare for the second phase of the National Championship and the SEA Games 33 in Thailand.

By 2025 alone, Bich Tuyen will have participated in 10 tournaments (compared to 11 in 2024). Balancing three tasks – contributing to the national team, Ninh Binh Club, and pursuing her dream of playing abroad – is no easy task for this hitter. Nevertheless, throughout the tournaments from 2023 to the present, Bich Tuyen has consistently met the expectations of her fans.

She consistently shone, achieving numerous successes such as winning the national championship for the first time in 2023, the AVC Challenge Cup in 2024, winning the Hoa Lu Cup for two consecutive years (2024, 2025), winning the Hung Vuong Cup for the first time (2025), and reaching the final of the AVC Champions League in 2024 (thereby qualifying for the FIVB World Club Championship 2024).

Hoping to compete for the gold medal at the SEA Games 33

In the first half of 2025, Bich Tuyen continued to maintain her top form, helping LPBank Ninh Binh remain undefeated throughout three domestic tournaments: the Hoa Lu Cup, the first phase of the National Championship, and the Hung Vuong Cup. This is why fans expect her to continue this form with the national team.

Under coach Nguyen Tuan Kiet, Bich Tuyen played a particularly important role in the challenging journey of the Vietnamese women's volleyball team. One of these challenges was the first-ever participation of Vietnamese volleyball in the FIVB World Championship 2025. Alongside this was the historic task of hoping to compete for the gold medal at the 33rd SEA Games in Thailand this December.

Bich Tuyen shared: "The upcoming tournaments for the national team are all very important. Even more so, the team will be participating in a very prestigious FIVB tournament. The whole team must work hard, stick together, and be determined to achieve the best possible results."

Continuously winning individual titles

In every tournament Bich Tuyen participated in, she won individual titles, most notably Best Opposite Hitter, Best Scorer in the AVC Champions League 2024 and SEA V.League 2024. She was also named Best Attacker in the Hoa Lu Cup 2024 and 2025, Hung Vuong Cup 2024 and 2025, and the National Championship 2023.
