TPO – Despite facing numerous difficulties and shortages, the teachers at Huoi Moi school (Tri Le 2 Ethnic Boarding Primary School, Que Phong district, Nghe An province ) still encourage each other to overcome challenges and successfully fulfill their mission of educating children in this remote area.

Huoi Moi village (Tri Le commune, Que Phong district, Nghe An province), located at the foot of Pha Ca Tun peak – over 1,500m above sea level – is home to 100% Mong ethnic people. |
| Huoi Moi is one of the most disadvantaged school branches of Tri Le 4 Primary School – now merged into Tri Le 2 Ethnic Boarding Primary School. For the past 40 years, the school has been staffed entirely by teachers stationed in the remote village. But in this "remote and isolated" place, teaching in these village branches is always carried out systematically and seriously. |
| As the new school year begins, the teachers stationed in these remote villages overcome difficulties to fulfill their mission of "spreading literacy" in the most remote and challenging areas of Que Phong border district. |
| After decades of teachers and students teaching in temporary wooden or prefabricated classrooms at the two remote locations of Huoi Moi 1 and Huoi Moi 2, from the 2020-2021 school year to the present, the Huoi Moi school has put into use 5 solid concrete classrooms, complete with restrooms and other amenities. |
| The road to Huoi Moi village is difficult and arduous, but every day the teachers overcome these difficulties to come to school and teach. |

Mr. Luong Van Xuyen, born in 1969, is the longest-serving teacher at Huoi Moi school – part of Tri Le 2 Ethnic Boarding Primary School. He said: This school year, Huoi Moi school has 56 students, divided into 3 classes. |
Following the start of the school year, many students are still absent because they are working with their parents in distant fields where there is no communication signal. Furthermore, a significant number of students have parents working as laborers in the South and have not yet returned for the new school year. The school has assigned homeroom teachers to encourage parents to bring their children home. However, for a remote school, ensuring almost full attendance at the beginning of the new school year is very difficult. |
| Although school started almost a week ago, as of August 28th, Mr. Lu Van Son's class only had 17 students, with 7 absent. |
| In this remote and difficult area, the living conditions of the teachers stationed in the villages are also challenging. The photo shows the simple resting place of the primary school teachers stationed at Huồi Mới village school. |

For the 2024-2025 school year, Huoi Moi Kindergarten will have two classrooms for children aged 3-5. According to Ms. Lau Y Pay (in charge of Huoi Moi Kindergarten), although the school year has started, it remains difficult to persuade families to send their children to school because parents are working in the fields or far away. |

In remote areas with limited resources, teachers face many difficulties. In the early days of the new school year, teachers at Huồi Mới preschool are busy bringing supplies to school to prepare for teaching. |
