On the morning of June 10th, a shooting occurred in the informal settlement of Jumpers, a suburb of Cleveland, east of Johannesburg, South Africa, leaving at least 12 people dead and 9 others injured.

Police cars were deployed near the scene to assist with the investigation.
In a statement, South African police said they had launched a manhunt for more than 10 suspects in connection with the attack. The motive for the incident remains unknown.

The victim's body was loaded onto a specialized vehicle after the attack.
According to local authorities, the group of suspects traveled in a white Toyota Quantum, entering the settlement from two entrances, then firing shots at multiple locations before leaving the scene in the same vehicle.
Following the incident, authorities sealed off the area, examined the scene, and evacuated the victims. The shooting further fueled concerns about gun violence in South Africa, one of the countries with the highest homicide rates in the world , averaging around 60 murders per day.
