Over the years, with the attention of the Party and the State, the Dam Rong 2 commune government has focused on innovating the content and form of propaganda to bring policies and guidelines to each village and household. Mr. Cil Ha Kroong (57 years old), the village elder of Lieng Hung village, shared: “Previously, people did not fully understand the support policies, and many were hesitant to access capital or participate in production models. Now, with on-site propaganda and guidance, people have boldly borrowed capital, switched to different crops and livestock, and are gradually escaping poverty.”
Comrade Nguyen Van Chinh - Vice Chairman of the People's Committee of Dam Rong 2 commune, stated: "Propaganda should not only stop at 'telling the people,' but must 'work with the people to understand' - using effectiveness and changes in people's awareness and actions as the measure." According to the leaders of the People's Committee of Dam Rong 2 commune, with a large area, sparsely populated sub-districts, and diverse languages and customs, propaganda only through conferences or written documents would be ineffective. Therefore, the locality has intensified propaganda through accessible methods such as local loudspeakers, theatrical performances, and integrating propaganda into community activities, village meetings, and Party branch meetings. In addition, the commune organizes training courses and provides guidance on farming techniques, livestock raising, forest protection, and prevention of social evils, combined with the dissemination of policies and laws. In particular, influential community members are invited to participate as propagandists – an effective "bridge" between the government and the people.
In addition, the commune police force, in coordination with the Fatherland Front, women's association, and youth union, is stepping up legal awareness campaigns, mobilizing people to maintain security and order, prevent and combat illegal migration, and not be misled by malicious individuals.
A highlight of the propaganda work in Dam Rong 2 commune is the leveraging of the role of influential figures, village elders, and religious leaders. These individuals are not only knowledgeable about local customs and languages, but are also trusted and followed by the community. Through them, many policies and guidelines are communicated in an easily understandable and persuasive manner, contributing to a change in community awareness.
According to village elder Cil Ha Krong: “Thanks to regular propaganda, people's awareness has gradually improved. Many households have boldly switched production models, applied scientific and technological advancements to agriculture , maintained environmental hygiene, and actively participated in the 'All people unite to build a cultured life' movement. To ensure that propaganda work truly goes in-depth, Dam Rong 2 is continuing to strengthen the team of grassroots propagandists; increasing training in skills and updating knowledge on law, agriculture, and security for village officials and mass organizations. At the same time, the commune focuses on providing feedback, listening to the thoughts, aspirations, and difficulties of the people to promptly answer and resolve problems.”
According to Nguyen Van Chinh, Vice Chairman of the People's Committee of Dam Rong 2 commune, the goal in the coming time is to make propaganda work an important driving force in local development, helping people proactively access information, raise awareness of law compliance, and together build a united, peaceful and prosperous society.
To enhance the dissemination of legal education in Dam Rong 2 commune, the local authorities continue to implement many comprehensive solutions such as building communication channels suitable to the local culture, coordinating with social organizations, village elders, and influential people to focus on laws and policies directly related to the lives of ethnic minority people. At the same time, they combine diverse forms of communication such as integrating it into village meetings, community activities, organizing mobile talks, or using appropriate media...
