This feature allows users to adjust the amount of light entering the sensor depending on the shooting environment. Specifically, when shooting in low light conditions, the aperture will automatically widen to capture more light, making the image brighter and more detailed.

Conversely, when shooting outdoors in bright sunlight, the aperture will narrow, avoiding overexposure and helping to reproduce more realistic colors.

MacRumors said Apple is working with component suppliers to apply this technology to the next generation of iPhones.

It is expected that Apple will keep the same screen size for the iPhone 18 Pro and iPhone 18 Pro Max. Accordingly, the two devices will have 6.3-inch and 6.9-inch screens, respectively.

The biggest change on this product line is that the Face ID facial recognition system will be moved below the screen. At this time, the device will only have a small hole in the screen for the front camera.

This would be a major step forward in iPhone design, increasing the display area on the front. However, it is still unclear whether Apple will continue to maintain the Dynamic Island design or not.

Sources from the supply chain said the iPhone 18 Pro series will be equipped with the A20 processor manufactured by TSMC on the 2nm process.

The new manufacturing process allows the device to achieve better performance while still ensuring energy efficiency. The A20 chip is expected to be 20% faster and 30% more energy efficient than the A19 chip on the iPhone 17 series.

Most likely, the iPhone 18 generation will also be equipped with a RAM capacity of up to 12GB. This upgrade helps the device to handle multitasking better, especially for the Apple Intelligence toolkit and AI-based tasks.
