According to Nguyen Khanh Hiep, Director of the Department of Culture and Sports, the movement for national unity in building a cultured way of life has been effectively implemented, linked with the patriotic emulation movement, the construction of new rural areas and civilized urban areas, thereby creating widespread impact and mobilizing community strength to contribute to the successful implementation of political tasks, socio-economic development, and the promotion of democracy at the grassroots level. The Steering Committee for Family Affairs and the movement for national unity in building a cultured way of life at all levels focuses on maintaining, consolidating, and improving the quality of recognized cultural titles. Many activities promoting the Party's guidelines, the State's policies and laws, moral education, lifestyle education, prevention and control of domestic violence, and gender equality have been intensified. Grassroots cultural activities, especially along the border, are regularly organized, contributing to maintaining security and order, building a healthy cultural environment, and improving the quality of the people's spiritual lives.
The system of cultural institutions is receiving attention from local authorities for investment in construction, repair, and upgrading. “Identifying the building of cultural life in residential communities as an important task, the province is promoting propaganda and mobilizing public participation in building clean, green, and beautiful rural roads, alleys, and residential areas. At the same time, it is promoting civilized lifestyles in weddings and funerals; eliminating outdated customs. The province organizes many cultural and artistic movements, propaganda campaigns, exhibitions, and mobile information services; and establishes and maintains clubs for traditional music, singing and dancing, physical education, and sports … meeting the cultural and spiritual needs of all segments of the population,” said Mr. Nguyen Khanh Hiep.
The Fatherland Front and socio-political organizations in the province actively participate in launching and maintaining many specific movements and models at agencies, units, and residential areas. According to Le Van Khiem, Chairman of the Farmers' Association of Vinh Hanh commune, in implementing the National Target Program for building new rural areas, the commune launched the "Flower-lined roads, beautiful hamlets" model; mobilized social resources to build fences and flagpoles along roads; installed streetlights in rural areas; and improved environmental sanitation. "This model creates a new, vibrant atmosphere for rural roads, creating a green, clean, beautiful, and well-maintained landscape that contributes to improving the quality of life for the people," Mr. Khiem shared.

Many hamlets, villages, and residential areas have become shining examples in building a cultured way of life, establishing village regulations and conventions, and implementing civilized practices in weddings and funerals. They have also effectively carried out social mobilization, harnessing social resources to care for the lives of the people, especially policy beneficiaries, the poor, and vulnerable groups, contributing to the revival of the tradition of solidarity, mutual support, and helping each other to improve their lives. Exemplary cultural families are the core of the movement to build prosperous, equal, harmonious, progressive, and happy families. At the same time, they are a positive and important factor in protecting and preserving the moral values and traditional customs of the nation. Mr. Danh Hai, residing in Go Quao commune, shared: “The lives of local people, especially the Khmer people, have improved significantly. In addition to receiving support from the local government and being provided with stable jobs and economic development opportunities, people also participate in cultural, artistic, and sports activities, so everyone is enthusiastic.”
According to Mr. Nguyen Khanh Hiep, the Department of Culture and Sports continues to coordinate with relevant departments, agencies, and local authorities to effectively implement the movement for national unity in building a cultured life, linked with the movement for national unity in building new rural areas and civilized urban areas, and other patriotic emulation movements. At the same time, it will promote the socialization of culture, effectively utilize cultural institutions, and regularly organize cultural, artistic, and sports activities. The Steering Committee for Family Affairs and the movement for national unity in building a cultured life at all levels will continue to focus on improving the quality of the evaluation of cultural titles; consolidating activities and creating positive changes in building a cultured lifestyle in the community.
