Widespread hot and humid weather

According to the National Center for Hydro-Meteorological Forecasting, today (May 30), the North and the area from Thanh Hoa to Thua Thien Hue will have hot weather, some places will be extremely hot with the highest temperature commonly ranging from 35-37 degrees Celsius, some places over 38 degrees Celsius; the lowest relative humidity commonly ranges from 45-60%.

Tomorrow (May 31), the hot weather will continue in the above areas and expand to Phu Yen , with the same temperature.

It is forecasted that the heat wave in the North, from Thanh Hoa to Phu Yen, is likely to last until the beginning of June.

Meteorological experts note that the predicted temperature in the heat bulletin and the actual temperature felt outdoors can differ by 2-4 degrees, or even higher depending on the conditions of the surface such as concrete and asphalt.

For the South Central, Central Highlands and Southern regions, today there will continue to be rain, moderate rain and scattered thunderstorms, locally heavy to very heavy rain with rainfall of 20-40mm, some places over 70mm; heavy rain will occur mainly in the afternoon and evening.

Thunderstorms in these areas are expected to continue for several more days.

Northwest

Cloudy, hot and sunny during the day, with some areas experiencing intense heat. Showers and thunderstorms in the evening. Light winds. Thunderstorms may include tornadoes, lightning, hail and strong gusts of wind.

Lowest temperature: 25-28 degrees, some places in the Northwest below 25 degrees. Highest temperature: 34-37 degrees, some places above 38 degrees.

Northeast

Cloudy, hot during the day, some places are very hot, in the evening there will be showers and thunderstorms in some places. Northwest wind level 2-3. During thunderstorms there is a possibility of tornadoes, lightning, hail and strong gusts of wind.

Lowest temperature: 25-28 degrees. Highest temperature: 34-37 degrees, some places above 37 degrees.

Thanh Hoa - Thua Thien Hue

Lowest temperature: 24-27 degrees. Highest temperature: 33-36 degrees, in mountainous areas some places are over 37 degrees.

Da Nang to Binh Thuan

Cloudy, sunny during the day, showers and thunderstorms in the evening and at night, scattered showers and thunderstorms in the South, locally heavy rain. Light wind. Thunderstorms may cause tornadoes, lightning, hail and strong gusts of wind.

Lowest temperature: 24-27 degrees. Highest temperature: 31-34 degrees.

Central Highlands

Cloudy, scattered showers and thunderstorms; moderate to heavy rain, some places with very heavy rain and scattered thunderstorms in the afternoon and evening. Southwesterly winds level 2-3. Thunderstorms may cause tornadoes, lightning, hail and strong gusts of wind.

Lowest temperature: 20-23 degrees. Highest temperature: 28-31 degrees, some places above 31 degrees.

Southern Vietnam

Lowest temperature: 23-26 degrees. Highest temperature: 28-31 degrees, some places above 31 degrees.

Hanoi

Cloudy, hot during the day, some places very hot, no rain at night. Southeast wind level 2-3.

Lowest temperature: 26-28 degrees. Highest temperature: 35-37 degrees.
