My family has a habit of washing our hair first, then showering. Is this advisable? (Hong, 39 years old, Phu Tho )

Most people wash their hair before showering; however, according to scientific studies, it's better to shower before washing your hair. Showering before shampooing can improve blood circulation and help the body adjust to the water temperature, preventing negative impacts on the nervous system. This is especially important for people with a history of cardiovascular disease or high blood pressure, as washing hair before showering can cause temperature changes and dizziness.
In fact, human blood vessels, especially those in the brain, are very fragile. Sudden exposure to high temperatures can pose many risks, such as sudden aneurysms leading to rupture. Washing your hair immediately afterward can lead to poor blood circulation, which in the long run can cause cerebrovascular diseases or even brain hemorrhage.
One thing to keep in mind when showering is that you shouldn't pour water directly onto your body. Let your hands and feet get used to the water first, allow your body to adapt, then shower from the neck down and finally wash your hair.
The water for bathing and showering should be moderately warm, ranging from 38 to 44 degrees Celsius. At this temperature, both skin and hair are cleansed without stripping away their natural oils. Warm water also helps the scalp and body adjust to a comfortable temperature, avoiding unwanted effects. The ideal time for shampooing is 5-7 minutes.
Proper bathing and showering are very effective in relieving fatigue, improving sleep, preventing illness, enhancing beauty, and combating aging.
