The beauty of Cam Dong bamboo bridge

The Cam Dong bamboo bridge, spanning the Vinh Dien River, was built by the people of Cam Dong village, Dien Phong commune, Quang Nam province, to facilitate access to the Go Dinh alluvial plain on the other side of the river for agricultural purposes. Its rustic beauty and peaceful rural setting make the Cam Dong bamboo bridge an interesting destination for tourists visiting Quang Nam.

The bridge, made of bamboo, is dozens of meters long, less than one meter wide, significantly higher than the water level, and has a handrail on one side. This simple bamboo bridge, like a silk ribbon draped across the Vinh Dien River, creates a beautiful rural scene.

The bamboo bridge helps local people cross over to the alluvial plain to work in agriculture.

Previously, the people of Cam Dong village who wanted to cross the Go Dinh alluvial plain on the other side of the river to cultivate their crops had to row boats across. Later, because it was too inconvenient, the households here contributed to building a bamboo bridge to make farming easier.

The simple bridge was made from old bamboo trees in the village.

The bridge is closely linked to the daily production activities of more than 300 households in Cam Dong village.

Whenever they harvest their crops, the villagers divide the produce into smaller portions and push them in wheelbarrows across the bamboo bridge to transport them over the river.

The sunset by the bamboo bridge has attracted many photographers to capture the beautiful moment of this peaceful countryside.
