Cooperation between the two countries has been realized through the transfer of Su-30SM2 fighter jets, Mil Mi-35M attack helicopters, and more recently, the Belarusian Armed Forces' acquisition of the Tor-M2 surface-to-air missile system. Originally developed during the Soviet era and put into service in 1983, the Tor has become one of the most prominent short-range air defense systems. Photo: @Missilery. Despite decades having passed since its introduction, the Russian industrial complex continues to refine its design and integrate successive improvements through the introduction of a large number of variants of the Tor surface-to-air missile system. According to Colonel Pavel Grebenchuk, the brigade's personnel have mastered this type of surface-to-air missile system and are ready to deploy it in all combat conditions. Photo: @ Military Review.
Colonel Pavel Grebenchuk added: “The excellent evaluation results achieved after live-fire exercises in tactical-combat drills with various weapons are clear evidence of this. Similarly, this type of surface-to-air missile system has demonstrated outstanding performance within the framework of special military operations.” Photo: @ Military Review. And the new Tor-M2 surface-to-air missile system supplied by Russia is also highly mobile, has a short reaction time, and is capable of simultaneously destroying multiple types of airborne targets, including drones.
