On June 2, in a post on Telegram channel, Mariupol City Mayor Petro Andriushchenko said that Russia is transporting pyramidal concrete anti-tank structures, known as "dragon teeth", through the city of Mariupol to the town of Rozivka, Zaporizhzhia region.
"Russia is transporting a series of 'dragon teeth' in the direction of Rozhivka, towards the Polohy region," the official wrote, and published a photo and video of the transportation of these defensive structures.
Since explosions in Mariupol have become more frequent, the Russian side has increased construction of fortifications around the city. Moscow is turning Mariupol and its surrounding villages into a logistics hub for the army.
Regarding the supply of weapons to Kiev, the US affirmed that the supply of F-16 aircraft to Ukraine is not only considered to equip the Eastern European country with a new modern weapon system but also to strengthen the country's air force in the long term.
"This is really about helping the Ukrainian Air Force become a more modern, more capable air force over the long term," said John Kirby, coordinator for strategic communications for the US National Security Council.
Earlier, the Office of the President of Ukraine announced that the "coalition to supply combat aircraft" to Ukraine already has eight international partners.
