Watching a flock of fruit bats from above.

For a long time, Hung Long Temple in My Hoa Hung commune has been known by locals as the bat temple. This is because every year, bats from the Bay Nui region fly there and hang upside down from tree branches, their chirping echoing throughout the village.

Early in the morning, from the tranquil temple roof, one can see a flock of black and yellow bats basking in the sun, a beautiful sight. Occasionally, they fly in groups around the temple, then land. Locals say the bats never eat the fruit in the gardens. Each year, the bats take refuge in the temple grounds for a few months before flying away, creating a stunning natural scene in the Ông Hổ islet area.

The bats live close to people's houses but do not damage the fruit orchards.

Hung Long Pagoda is located in the middle of Ong Ho islet, a very peaceful place.

Within the grounds of Hung Long Temple, volunteers were sawing and cutting wood noisily, but the bats still clung to the trees.

The black and yellow bats are basking in the early morning sun.

Occasionally, flocks of fruit bats fly around Ong Ho islet.
