(CLO) The exhibition "Springtime 2025 - North and South Convergence" is currently taking place at the Fine Arts Exhibition House (16 Ngo Quyen Street, Hoan Kiem District, Hanoi), attracting a large number of visitors, artists, and the public of the capital city to explore the beauty of Vietnamese ceramics.

Featuring nearly 200 ceramic art pieces from almost 50 artists of the Art Ceramics Club (Vietnam Fine Arts Association) and 11 artists from the Saigon Fine Arts Ceramics Club, the exhibition offers a creative and rich space, showcasing the wonderful interplay between cultural elements, techniques, and artistic thinking from both North and South Vietnam.

The exhibition showcases a diverse range of artworks, from ceramic sculptures and ceramic paintings to applied ceramics. Each piece bears the distinct personal touch of the artist, reflecting their innovation, creativity, and desire to contribute to Vietnamese ceramic art.

Most of the works inherit the essence of traditional ceramics, yet still exude the spirit of contemporary life, thus reflecting the continuous development of the Vietnamese ceramics industry. At the same time, this is also the result of five years of continuous development of the Art Ceramics Club, where artists from all over have exchanged, collaborated, and shared creative experiences.

Sculptor Nguyen Kim Xuan, head of the Art Ceramics Club, said: "Over the past five years, the ceramic works of the artists in the club have become increasingly diverse in form, material, and technique. Each work contains continuous creativity, from experimenting with new glaze colors to expressing bold artistic ideas. In particular, the artists focus on both the aesthetic beauty and the depth of content, conveying powerful messages about life, people, and culture."

Expressing her feelings about participating in this year's exhibition again, artist Nguyen Thi Thu Trang ( Hanoi ) could not hide her emotion and pride. For the female artist, this is a special occasion, a precious opportunity for artists and professionals to interact, learn, and share experiences.

"Participating in the exhibition is not simply about showcasing personal work, but also an opportunity to connect and learn from previous generations of artists and new colleagues, so that the younger generation can mature, and their emotions, thinking, and ceramic techniques can gradually improve and innovate," emphasized artist Thu Trang.

While enjoying the exhibition, visitors can easily notice the significant transformation in the creative styles of the ceramic artists. Works ranging from sculptures to ceramic paintings demonstrate meticulous attention to detail, while also showcasing unconventional and flexible approaches to imagery and form. Each ceramic piece is no longer simply a product of traditional craftsmanship but has become a contemporary work of art, full of vitality and emotion.

Artist Nguyen Thu Thuy, Secretary of the Art Ceramics Club, excitedly stated that one of the special features of this exhibition is the diversity of styles and themes in the artworks.

From vibrant sculptures to dazzlingly colorful ceramic paintings, each piece bears the distinct personal touch of its artist. Some works are meticulously crafted, showcasing the artist's precision and patience, while others exhibit a free-spirited, spontaneous style, reflecting creative freedom and a dialogue between the artist and life.

This allows the exhibition to open up an art display space with opportunities for encounters, exchanges, and learning among artists. This difference in style and creative methods creates a very interesting atmosphere of interaction, where each ceramic piece tells a unique story and conveys a distinct message, yet all blend together to create a diverse and vibrant picture of Vietnamese ceramic art.

Among the works on display, many reflect the rich cultural identity of their respective regions, from traditional folk motifs to innovative new forms, showcasing the integration of artistic ceramics into a modern context.

The "Springtime 2025 - North and South Convergence" Ceramics Exhibition is an opportunity to reflect on the achievements of Vietnamese ceramic art over the past years and to hope that in the new year of the Snake, ceramic art will continue to develop strongly, with more creativity and exciting, vibrant artistic activities.

The exhibition is open until February 22nd at 16 Ngo Quyen Street, Hoan Kiem District, Hanoi.
