In his opening remarks, Mr. Le Xuan Dung, Vice Chairman of the Tan Phong Ward People's Committee and Head of the Organizing Committee for the Pear Harvesting Festival, stated that pear trees are gradually becoming one of the main crops, providing a stable source of income for many households in the area. In recent years, the area under pear cultivation has continuously expanded, and the product has been well-received by the market thanks to its good quality, characteristic sweet taste, and safe production practices.
According to Mr. Dung, organizing the Pear Harvesting Festival aims to create opportunities to introduce products, connect with consumers, and gradually build the Nung Nang - Tan Phong pear brand into a distinctive local product. It is also an opportunity to promote the image of the land and people of Tan Phong to tourists, businesses, and cooperatives nationwide.

The pear harvesting competition was held directly in the orchards during the peak ripening season. In a lively atmosphere, teams from various residential areas such as Lao Ty Phung, Say San 1, Say San 3, Say San 4, Nung Nang… competed to harvest the fruit quickly and correctly, creating a joyful and exciting atmosphere.
Alongside this is the Pear Fruit Platter Exhibition, where people showcase their skill and creativity through products crafted from pears and local agricultural products. These elaborately decorated fruit platters not only honor the fruits of the farmers' labor but also contribute to introducing the beauty of local culture.
The experience of visiting pear orchards has also become a popular tourist destination. Many people enjoy picking ripe pears directly from the trees, savoring them right in the orchard, and capturing photos amidst the lush green hills of the Northwest highlands.
According to the organizers, the festival is the first step in a strategy to link agricultural development with experiential tourism, contributing to enhancing the value of local agricultural products. Through promotional activities, connecting consumers, and applying digital commerce, Tan Phong pears are expected to reach many new markets, expand outlets for farmers, and create further impetus for sustainable rural economic development.
