According to Ms. Anna Hanh Le, acting president of the Ho Chi Minh City Ao Dai Association, throughout the long journey of the nation's history, the ao dai is not just clothing but also a living heritage, a crystallization of the culture, soul, intellect, and emotions of the Vietnamese people.

On the morning of June 21st, the Ho Chi Minh City Ao Dai Association, the Ho Chi Minh City Photography Association, and the Ho Chi Minh City Book Street Company jointly organized the Ho Chi Minh City Ao Dai Culture Festival 2025 with the theme "Ao Dai: Gratitude," and also inaugurated the photography exhibition "Moments of Ao Dai - Saigon Past and Present."

The exhibition showcases 100 works by 20 photographers, recreating the journey of the ao dai (Vietnamese traditional dress) through different periods from 1975 to the present. Visitors can interact via Art TV to explore the author's profile and the story behind each photograph.

According to the organizers, with the theme "Ao Dai Tribute," the Ho Chi Minh City Ao Dai Culture Festival 2025 conveys a message of gratitude to those who have preserved and promoted the cultural value of the Ao Dai, from diligent embroidery and sewing artisans, creative designers to journalists and photographers who have documented the cultural journey through images and articles.

The Ho Chi Minh City Ao Dai Culture Festival aims to awaken feelings of gratitude in each person through the image of the ao dai, and to inspire awareness of preserving and promoting the unique cultural values ​​that have shaped Vietnamese identity.

The Ho Chi Minh City Ao Dai Culture Festival 2025 will take place on June 21st and 22nd at the Ho Chi Minh City Book Street with a variety of activities for the public and tourists to experience, highlighted by the photography exhibition "Moments of Ao Dai - Saigon Past and Present"; a seminar on "The Art of Photography with Ao Dai"; and a seminar on "Developing Tourism Tours to Explore Ao Dai Culture in Ho Chi Minh City".

The highlight of the event is the Ao Dai (traditional Vietnamese dress) gala night at the Youth Cultural Center at 6 PM on June 28th. The event also includes many activities that will continue until October 20th.
