These days, Go Moc appears as a vast ornamental plant area with over 10 hectares covered in lush greenery, bustling with production activities. Local households are busy caring for and shaping the plants, creating a distinctive rhythm of life in this developing craft village. Among the more than 70 households engaged in the profession, Mr. Do Ngoc Khiet is a prime example of dedication and perseverance in the ornamental plant industry.
Inheriting the tradition of growing ornamental plants from his hometown of Hung Yen , Mr. Khiet started his business in Go Moc in 2003 with a small amount of capital. In the early days, he painstakingly collected small, low-value trees to care for and shape.
By persistently pursuing a long-term investment strategy, the family now owns two ornamental plant gardens worth billions of VND. From Podocarpus trees valued at over 60 million VND to exquisite bonsai creations, the gardens provide a stable income and create regular employment for five local workers.
Not far from there is the estate of Mrs. Nguyen Thi Thanh's family, one of the pioneers of the bonsai trade here since 1992. With a garden area of over 10,000 square meters, she both directly creates bonsai trees and actively seeks out valuable bonsai saplings from traditional regions such as Hung Yen and Ninh Binh ...
The total value of the orchard is estimated at over 4 billion VND, generating an average revenue of approximately 60 million VND per month. The certificates of merit for "Excellent Family in Business " proudly displayed in the house are a well-deserved recognition of her persistent efforts.

The development of each household has contributed to shaping the overall appearance of the craft village. Since its official establishment (in 2013), Go Moc Ornamental Plant Craft Village has made significant progress.
Mr. Tran Chi Nghia, Head of the Farmers' Association in Go Moc residential area, shared: "The linkage between households has created a ripple effect, helping products no longer be confined to home gardens but gradually participate in provincial and local events, thereby affirming the position of Quyet Thang ornamental plants."
Along with that, the local government also focuses on development orientation. Ms. Tong Thi Nhuong, Vice President of the Farmers' Association of Quyet Thang Ward, said: After the merger, the scale of the craft village continued to expand, becoming an important source of income for many households. However, to develop stably and sustainably, the craft village needs to gradually overcome its spontaneous nature and move towards more systematic production organization.
In the coming period, the locality is determined to strengthen communication, replicate effective models, and focus on developing ornamental plants and animals with high artistic value. The goal is not only to increase income but also to create an ecological and cultural space, contributing to building a civilized and distinctive urban landscape.
