The Ho Chi Minh City Department of Education and Training is expected to announce the answer key and grading guidelines shortly thereafter.
The process of organizing the grading, summarizing the grading results, and comparing the results of the 10th grade exams will be carried out between June 3rd and 9th.
Mr. Nguyen Van Phong, Deputy Director of the Department of Education and Training, said that all exam papers of approximately 151,000 students taking the 10th grade entrance exam will be transported to Zone 1 (formerly Ho Chi Minh City) for grading. The city has mobilized about 3,000 officials, teachers, and staff to participate in the grading process.

On June 3rd, assigned officials, teachers, and staff will carry out the process of assigning codes to the exam papers until June 4th. The grading of the 10th grade exams will officially begin on June 5th and be completed on June 9th.
According to Mr. Phong, because the 10th grade entrance exam and the high school graduation exam are held consecutively, the city mobilized officials and teachers to participate in both exams continuously. After June 9th, these officials must continue to participate in serving the high school graduation exam. Thus, after the high school graduation exam ends, the Department of Education and Training will carry out the process of matching answer sheets and compiling scores for the 10th grade exam. This process is expected to take about 3 to 4 days, and the department will announce the 10th grade exam results immediately afterward.
The 2026 10th grade entrance exam will be the first 10th grade exam after the merger, on an unprecedented scale with nearly 152,000 candidates participating.
At the end of the exam period, the test questions in all subjects were assessed as being relatively easy and manageable, appropriate to the situation after the merger. According to many admissions experts, with scores mostly ranging from 7 to 8.5 points across all subjects, it is predicted that the cut-off scores for the 10th grade entrance exam this year will increase compared to the previous academic year.
