In Tran Phu commune, the women's football exchange between women's associations has become a familiar tradition every March 8th. The tournament attracted 9 teams, each consisting of 14 female members from various women's associations in the area. Over two days (March 6th and 7th), the matches were lively and exciting, attracting enthusiastic support from a large crowd.

The women competed with determination and solidarity. Beautiful plays, bursts of laughter, and enthusiastic cheers created a vibrant atmosphere.

Sharing her thoughts on the significance of this activity, Ms. Ma Thi Chin, President of the Women's Union of Tran Phu Commune, said: "Through cultural and sports activities, we hope to create opportunities for women in the area to meet, interact, and strengthen solidarity among the branches. This is also an opportunity for members to improve their health, enhance their spiritual lives, and encourage them to actively participate in local movements."

Not only in Tran Phu commune, but many other highland localities also organized diverse activities to celebrate March 8th. In Phong Quang commune, women's associations at all levels organized seminars to commemorate International Women's Day, combined with propaganda about the election of National Assembly and People's Council representatives at all levels for the 2026-2031 term.

Through these activities, female members were reminded of the traditions of International Women's Day on March 8th, and were also informed about the basic contents related to the rights and obligations of voters. The integration of this awareness campaign helped women better understand the significance of the election, thereby enhancing their awareness and responsibility in exercising their civic rights.

In addition, these seminars provide an opportunity for women to share experiences in economic development, raising children, and building happy families. In a friendly atmosphere, many everyday stories were shared, helping members to bond and encourage each other to strive for a better life.

Spectators in Tran Phu commune enthusiastically followed and cheered on the matches at the Women's Football Tournament celebrating International Women's Day on March 8th.

In many other mountainous areas, cultural, artistic, sporting, and folk game activities are also organized enthusiastically. Laughter rings out during competitions such as pounding rice cakes, tug-of-war, rice planting, and folk dancing… These activities not only bring joy but also contribute to spreading the beautiful traditional culture of the ethnic minorities.

A meaningful highlight of International Women's Day on March 8th in many localities is the giving of traditional ao dai dresses and gifts to women members in difficult circumstances. These traditional dresses, handed directly to the women, help them feel more confident and appreciate the care from the community. Although the material value is not great, these gifts contain warm feelings, contributing to motivating them to strive for a better future.

Women's associations at all levels also integrate the dissemination of information on gender equality, prevention of domestic violence, and healthcare for women and children. Through these practical activities, members' awareness of their roles and positions in the family and society is increasingly enhanced.
