(PLVN) - Colonel Dinh Viet Dung, Director of Ninh Binh Provincial Police, has been transferred by the Ministry of Public Security to take up the position of Director of Nghe An Provincial Police.

On the afternoon of June 13th, the Party Committee of the Nghe An Provincial Police Department held a ceremony to announce the decision of the Standing Committee of the Nghe An Provincial Party Committee appointing Colonel Dinh Viet Dung, Director of the Provincial Police Department, to the Party Committee Executive Board, the Party Committee Standing Committee, and the position of Secretary of the Party Committee of the Provincial Police Department for the 14th term, 2020-2025. Colonel Dinh Viet Dung replaces his predecessor, Major General Bui Quang Thanh, who has just been transferred to the position of Chief Inspector of the Ministry of Public Security .

Colonel Dinh Viet Dung, 48 years old, hails from Hai Hau district, Nam Dinh province (before the merger). Before being appointed Director of the Nghe An Provincial Police, Mr. Dung held positions such as: Head of Department PA02; Deputy Director and Head of the Security Investigation Agency of the Ha Tinh Provincial Police; Deputy Director of the Internal Security Department, Ministry of Public Security; and Director of the Ninh Binh Provincial Police.
