On June 4th, the Nghe An Department of Education and Training announced the results of the entrance exam for 10th grade in regular public schools and the entrance exam for Phan Boi Chau Specialized High School for the 2026-2027 academic year.
According to representatives from the Department of Education and Training, nearly 50,000 candidates participated in the exam throughout the province. This is the largest number of candidates in the province's admissions season ever, and the exam was also held earlier than in previous years.
Compared to 2025, the number of candidates increased by 10,247. The school with the highest number of applications is Huynh Thuc Khang High School, with 2,062 registered candidates, while the school with the lowest number is Muong Qua High School with 201 candidates.
According to a representative from the Department of Education and Training, this year's exam has several new aspects in its management. Specifically, for the first time, Nghe An province has appointed a chairman of the examination board who is not a leader from the school hosting the exam.
The entrance exam for 10th grade at high schools in Nghe An province took place over two days, May 25-26. After more than a week, the Nghe An Department of Education and Training completed the grading process and officially announced the results of the 10th grade entrance exam for Phan Boi Chau Specialized High School.
To view their 10th grade entrance exam scores, candidates can check at their examination center. Alternatively, they can access the website http://nghean.edu.vn/menutop/tra-cuu/tra-cuu-diem-thi/2026/diem-ts-10-thpt-2026-?isFeatured=1

The 2026 provincial-level entrance exam for 10th grade will have over 49,000 candidates. In addition to the multiple-choice Foreign Language exam, which is graded by machine, the remaining two subjects, Mathematics and Literature, will be graded by experienced teachers selected from public high schools and 9th-grade teachers (who have achieved at least the title of "Excellent Teacher" at the district level). Each exam paper will be graded in two independent rounds by two examiners from two different essay grading teams.
Specifically, the grading of the 10th grade entrance exam at Phan Boi Chau Specialized High School was conducted independently in two rounds in two different grading rooms, simultaneously at two independent grading locations. This year, administrators, teachers from Phan Boi Chau Specialized High School, and officials from the Department of Education and Training did not directly participate in the grading process.
This year's grading process was conducted rigorously, with security cameras monitoring and recording footage in the exam paper storage rooms, multiple-choice grading rooms, and essay grading rooms, all without internet connection. After the grading process is complete, the camera's storage devices are sealed and the Director of the Department of Education and Training is responsible for their safekeeping and storage for at least one year.
During the grading process, examiners are strictly prohibited from bringing any information transmission or reception devices, copying materials, personal papers, or types of pens not specified by the Grading Committee into or out of the grading area.
Immediately after the exam results are announced, all candidates have the right to appeal and must pay the prescribed fee to the examination center where they took the exam. The deadline for submitting the appeal is 5 days from the date the exam results are publicly posted.
