Nghe An province welcomed over 1.17 million visitors during the April 30th - May 1st holiday.

This year's April 30th and May 1st holiday lasted five days, and favorable weather conditions created ideal conditions for Nghe An to become an attractive destination for tourists from both within and outside the province.

According to information from the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism of Nghe An province, during this holiday period, the entire province is estimated to welcome and serve approximately 1,170,000 tourists, an increase of 23% compared to the same period in 2024. Of these, the number of overnight visitors is expected to reach about 370,000, with total tourism revenue estimated at over 1,989 billion VND, and revenue from tourism services estimated at 746 billion VND.

Many prominent tourist destinations attracted large numbers of visitors during the holiday, including: Kim Lien Historical Site (Nam Dan), Cua Lo Beach, Vinwonder Cua Hoi, Quynh Beach, Dien Thanh Beach, Truong Bon National Historical Site (Do Luong), Ong Hoang Muoi Temple (Hung Nguyen)...

In addition, ecotourism, green tourism, and community tourism continue to make their mark with destinations such as Muong Thanh Dien Lam Eco-tourism Area (Dien Chau), Sang Le forest (Tuong Duong), Khe Kem waterfall and community tourism villages in Con Cuong district, Muong Long Eco Garden and community villages in Ky Son district...

Throughout the holiday period, the security, order, and safety of tourists were seriously and effectively ensured by the coordinated efforts of the relevant authorities, preventing any unfortunate incidents that could affect the tourists' experience. This significantly contributed to building the image of Nghe An as a safe, hospitable, and charming province in the eyes of tourists.

The Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism also stated that it has promptly coordinated with the Vinh City People's Committee to urgently address some shortcomings reported by tourists, while simultaneously issuing reasonable management and operational mechanisms for free services, and strengthening inspection and supervision to build a more professional and friendly image of Nghe An tourism.
