Therefore, at this time, ornamental plant pot manufacturers in La Gi town are busy producing beautiful pots to supply the market for the Lunar New Year of the Year of the Dragon 2024.
Plant pots are an indispensable item for those who enjoy growing flowers and ornamental plants.
We often admire many incredibly beautiful ornamental pots, but few people know that making such pots requires many elaborate and arduous steps. The work of pot makers begins in the early morning and continues until late at night before they can rest. From 4 a.m., Mr. Nguyen Van Phi in Binh An 2 village, Tan Binh commune, La Gi town, begins assembling molds to prepare for the pot casting process.
Born in 1999, although only 24 years old, Nguyen Van Phi has over 4 years of experience in the craft of making ornamental flower pots. His workshop primarily produces hexagonal pots, which are painted and decorated with a variety of beautiful patterns. Especially for the Tet (Lunar New Year) market, he focuses on decorating the pots with patterns such as apricot blossoms, peach blossoms, the word "spring," "Tet," and the characters for "fortune," "prosperity," and "longevity," allowing homeowners to decorate their houses with pots that symbolize joy and the vibrant atmosphere of spring.
Witnessing firsthand the skillful hands of the pot makers, one can truly appreciate the finesse and technique of these master craftsmen. Sweat dripping from his hands, Phi, with his rough hands gently smoothing the edges of the pots, continuously rotates and pours concrete to form the pots. After about 2-3 hours, he proceeds to remove the inner mold. And within 20-24 hours, once the pot has hardened sufficiently, Phi removes the outer mold and applies a thin layer of cement. Phi explains that this is a small but crucial detail; the cement helps the finished pot surface become smoother and more beautiful. It is known that each day, from 4 am to 10 pm, Phi and two other workers produce two finished ornamental pots. And about 5 days later, after being "sun-dried," these potted plants will be "dressed up" by the craftsmen with vibrant colors according to the tastes and aesthetic preferences of the customers.
While making ornamental pots, Mr. Phi confided to us: "The craft of making ornamental pots doesn't require much technical skill, but it does require finesse and creativity. The finished products must be durable, and the craftsman needs to be extremely careful and meticulous in the painting process. Only then can we meet the demands and tastes of ornamental plant enthusiasts."
The process of painting flower pots requires the craftsman to be very skillful, careful, and meticulous.
They come in a variety of sizes, so the prices of the pots also vary. Depending on the size, the smallest costs 100,000 VND, while the largest can cost around 5 million VND. Depending on their needs and preferences, plant enthusiasts can choose pots that suit their budget.
The finished pots are being "sun-dried" before being painted, decorated, and embellished by the craftsmen.
The potted plants have been "dressed" in vibrant colors.
It is known that, in addition to retail sales, Mr. Phi's pot manufacturing facility regularly supplies pots to flower and ornamental plant nurseries inside and outside the province.
