Artist Dị Thảo has passed away.

Artist Dị Thảo, whose real name is Trần Yên Thảo, was born in 1966. He has been involved with the stage since childhood. Besides acting, he also works in voice-over and narration for films.

Artist Dị Thảo is the son of director Trần Văn Sáu (author of Dị Tưởng, creator of the play "Trong nhà ngoài phố" - HTV).

Dị Thảo learned the craft from her father at a young age. She was one of the child actors who played the role of little Sang in the play "The Durian Leaf" by the Kim Cương Drama Troupe. Later, Dị Thảo joined the Cửu Long Giang Drama Troupe, becoming a successor generation of young actors for this stage.

Most of the roles that left a lasting impression on television viewers were those in the "Inside and Outside the House" series on HTV. He portrayed characters with a simple, down-to-earth personality, living a sincere life and always helping others.

Launched in 1980, the television program "Inside and Outside the House" on HTV channel attracted a large audience.

Operating for 15 years, the program has become a brand with a special appeal, through hundreds of plays reflecting topical issues and closely linked to the pulse of life.

The brand of "Inside and Outside the House" was created thanks to the skillful hands of directors The Ngu and Tran Van Sau, along with the acting abilities of artists Hoang Lan, Minh Phuong, Duy Phuong, Bao Quoc, Hong Van, Kim Ngoc, Quoc Hoa… Among them, Di Thao also contributed to the success of the program as a young actress familiar with supporting roles.

Male artist Dị Thảo previously shared with the public that he was diagnosed with late-stage lung cancer in 2020.

Before his diagnosis, he had experienced significant breathing difficulties and had been hospitalized multiple times for treatment. After his diagnosis, Dị Thảo underwent treatment at K Hospital along with other therapies such as traditional medicine.

His wife, artist Hoang Trinh, and his family have always been by his side. His daughter, who is studying in Australia, also returned home during his recent treatment.

The funeral service for artist Dị Thảo took place at 12 noon on the same day at the Ngô Tất Tố apartment building, Bình Thạnh district, Ho Chi Minh City.
