Artists are spoiled, because of the audience?

Singer My Tam is always a young artist icon loved for her talent and lifestyle.

In recent days, the name Hoang Thuy Linh has become a topic of discussion among netizens. From her unassuming attitude to her lip-syncing or never-live performance clips (according to netizens) being dug up.

Netizens even made comparisons and commented that "netizens owe Chi Pu an apology".

Hoang Thuy Linh and Chi Pu have a common problem in their ability to sing live. This has never been new. But if you think that because Hoang Thuy Linh's live performance is bad, you owe Chi Pu an apology for criticizing her for singing badly, then perhaps many people will be worried.

This "compare chopsticks to choose a flagpole" style will be useful in some cases, but if put in the context of "whoever sings less badly will be accepted", it will become a danger to Vietnamese showbiz and true music lovers.

As the bamboo grows old, new shoots grow. The rise of the next generation will carry the aspirations of young people to be famous, the expectations of the previous generation and the expectations of the audience. After all, everyone is looking forward to a Vietnamese showbiz that only has "luxury and fine" quality.

But whether or not that is possible depends a lot on the audience. Because if the audience has a certain level of appreciation, then there is certainly no way to easily accept a poor quality voice or product.

It's the artists' fault but it's also because many audiences were too easygoing from the start.

When it comes to the future of Vietnamese showbiz, what experts are concerned about is not the creativity of artists but the awareness, appreciation and aesthetic sense of the audience.

As musician Vo Thien Thanh shared, "If noteducated in the aesthetic aspect of art appreciation, it is understandable that audiences easily accept poor products."

That concern seems to be in line with the Vietnamese showbiz (and of course, many other showbizs too). Every handsome man and pretty woman has the privilege of becoming an artist and more than 50% of them become famous. It is a very cruel truth but has been present for many years.

That explains why there are singers who overwhelm the audience with their investment in the product, but when they sing, they show that they lack singing ability.

Not to mention the rich kids who spend money to become famous, there are also famous people whose only advantage is beauty. The audience still praises them as idols, as their life goals without caring about the quality of their talent.

Vietnamese showbiz is full of famous people who are clever but lack talent. But if they are touched, they will "bristle" and protest. Along with that is a large fan base ready to fight to destroy those who dare to speak out.

Noo Phuoc Thinh impressed with his singing voice and also had a beautiful gesture when supporting the victims of the mini apartment fire in Hanoi.

Being the wheel of showbiz, painful and harsh truths are inevitable. But clearly, the audience has the privilege to prevent these pains from happening or at least minimize the disappointments, but it seems to be forgotten. Many audiences just follow the crowd in praising their idols and then curse and insult someone else along with the crowd.

Trung Quan's liveshow sold out 2 concerts in 5 days, enough to confirm the quality of his voice.

Many people have asked why "there are famous people who get involved in scandals but still return to normal activities?". It is because Vietnamese audiences easily boycott and also easily forget. Of course, no one advocates preventing others from correcting their mistakes.

But clearly, if the audience cultivates their own aesthetic appreciation of art, their choice of idol will certainly never be wrong.
