Party member solidarity

Learning from President Ho Chi Minh's concrete actions, the Party Committee of Hoa Hung commune has established a fund to support Party members in overcoming difficulties, spreading the spirit of solidarity and compassion within each Party branch.

The Hoa Hung commune Party Committee has 33 branches and 783 Party members. The majority of Party members have stable economic lives and perform their assigned tasks well, contributing to improving the leadership capacity and fighting strength of the grassroots Party organization. After implementing the two-tiered local government model, the commune Party Committee surveyed and recorded that the entire commune has 43 poor households (accounting for 0.55%), 301 near-poor households (accounting for 3.8%), and 1,386 households with average living standards (accounting for 17.8%). Of these, 45 households are Party members, accounting for 2.6% of the total number of poor, near-poor, and average-living households; 46 Party members work away from home; and 18 Party members have difficult housing circumstances.

These figures show that within the Party organization, there is still a segment of Party members facing difficulties, mainly due to illness, lack of means of production and business, especially capital, and they urgently need attention, support, and assistance to overcome these challenges. Based on this situation, the Party Committee of the commune has developed a plan to raise funds for Party members in difficult circumstances (referred to as the Party member solidarity fund), building upon the funds established in 2021, in order to create resources to care for and assist Party members facing difficulties in life.

Mr. Nguyen Thai Dong, Secretary of the Hoa Hung Commune Party Committee, shared: "With high consensus and unity within the Party committee, Party members actively responded and participated in supporting the fund." Accordingly, the plan clearly specifies the contribution levels according to target groups, with the highest being 40,000 VND/month and the lowest 15,000 VND/month. Furthermore, for Party members, no contribution level is specified; each member contributes voluntarily according to their ability and circumstances.

Recently, Mr. Dang Van Sang, Secretary of the Hoa My Hamlet Party Branch, suffered from an eye disease requiring surgery and prolonged treatment in Ho Chi Minh City. The Hoa Hung Commune Party Committee provided him with 2 million VND from its fund to support him. Upon receiving the support, Mr. Dang Van Sang expressed his gratitude, saying: “I deeply appreciate this kindness! This reminds me of the year I joined the Party in 2000. Back then, becoming a Party member required a nomination and evaluation process for approval. I knew it wasn't simple; it demanded responsibility and seriousness from me, living up to the trust of the Party and the people.”

These concerns stayed with him throughout his participation in the Party branches. “I always reminded the Party members in the branch that the fund of solidarity among Party members, though not large or substantial, represents the bond and affection of those who share the same aspirations. Because for me, the strength of national unity can only be unleashed when each grassroots Party branch truly serves as a leading nucleus and a model of unity in will and action,” Mr. Sang expressed.

Mr. Nguyen Thai Dong stated: “Currently, the fundraising fund has reached 370 million VND. From July 1st, 2025 to the present, the Party Committee of the commune has provided support to Party members seven times. This support for Party members in difficult circumstances aims to effectively implement poverty reduction policies in general and contribute to Party building and the strengthening of the political system. This is even more meaningful when Party branches promote solidarity, identify Party members in need, and propose timely support, demonstrating concern and providing encouragement so that their comrades feel warmer and more secure.”

The practical and profoundly humane actions of the Hoa Hung Commune Party Committee contribute to educating cadres and Party members about fine traditions, building a team of exemplary Party members who lead in ethics and lifestyle, and simultaneously building and strengthening a robust Party organization.
