Khanh Hoa Newspaper supports people's development.

These days, the family of Mr. Mang Dong (38 years old, residing in Suoi Lau 1 village, Suoi Cat commune, Cam Lam district) is overjoyed as their long-awaited dream house, built with financial support from Khanh Hoa Newspaper, is nearing completion. Looking at the spacious new house, Mr. Dong recalled how not long ago his family lived in a dilapidated, leaky shack, with leaks everywhere during the rain and scorching heat during the day. He couldn't hide his tears of happiness. “In our impoverished circumstances, where even basic necessities like food and clothing were a constant worry, I never dared to dream of living in such a spacious and sturdy house. My family's happiness is thanks to the Khanh Hoa Newspaper's support in providing the funds for this house,” Mr. Dong expressed.

Since its establishment in 2003, the Tuoi Tre Newspaper's representative office in the South Central and Central Highlands regions has organized numerous social and charitable programs, raising tens of billions of VND in total. Notably, Tuoi Tre Newspaper annually organizes the "Supporting Students to School" scholarship program for disadvantaged new university students. Initially worth 5 million VND, each scholarship has now increased to 15 million VND, with some special scholarships worth tens of millions of VND supporting students throughout their studies. This contributes to nurturing the dreams of pursuing knowledge for students from extremely difficult family circumstances. The "Admissions and Career Counseling" program, organized by Tuoi Tre Newspaper at the beginning of each academic year, attracts 4,000-5,000 students. To ensure that students in remote areas could access the information, the newspaper allocated funds to hire vehicles to transport students from Dien Khanh, Khanh Vinh, Cam Ranh, Cam Lam, etc., to participate in the program.

Journalist Duy Thanh, Head of the Tuoi Tre Newspaper's representative office in the South Central and Central Highlands regions, stated: "We are always aware that carrying out social work and activities beyond the newspaper's pages is the responsibility of the press to the community, especially in Khanh Hoa - where the Tuoi Tre Newspaper representative office is located. In the future, Tuoi Tre Newspaper will not only maintain the activities already carried out in the area, but will also continue to contribute more to social welfare work in Khanh Hoa."

Mr. Nguyen Ngoc Phuc, Head of the Thanh Nien Newspaper's representative office in the South Central and Southern Central Highlands regions, shared that over the past time, the office has become a humanitarian bridge between readers and unfortunate lives through a series of profound charitable activities. From articles reflecting heartbreaking circumstances, hundreds of poor families and people with serious illnesses in the area have received practical support. For example, Nguyen Hoang Bach (6 years old, Suoi Hiep commune, Dien Khanh district), suffering from acute lymphoblastic leukemia, received a donation of 37 million VND from Thanh Nien Newspaper readers to continue his treatment. In addition, the office has also coordinated with benefactors to implement programs to build charitable houses (in 2024 alone, they supported the construction of 5 houses, with a total value of 435 million VND); provided livelihood support; and offered free medical examinations and treatment for the people. The Exam Season Counseling Program, organized annually by the Thanh Nien Newspaper's representative office in the South Central and Southern Central Highlands regions, has helped thousands of 12th-grade students in Khanh Hoa and neighboring localities identify suitable career paths and prepare well for the high school graduation exam…

Mr. Doan Minh Long, Chairman of the Provincial Journalists Association, stated: “In recent times, Khanh Hoa Newspaper, other media agencies, and journalists and reporters operating in the province have considered the humanistic element as an important criterion in their columns and articles about kindness and beautiful living; and have organized many meaningful social and charitable activities. This has had a positive effect on society, spreading widely and creating changes in many people's lives, arousing compassion and a beautiful lifestyle in the community. Through this, we have connected and supported 70 million VND to repair a house for a poor person; the program "Lighting up the sea with fishermen" has given 200 gifts to fishermen in difficult circumstances with a total value of 1 billion VND. The Provincial Journalists Association has also implemented many other activities to respond to the emulation movement "For the poor - leaving no one behind"; "We provide support for press publications and propaganda materials for Truong Sa district, and libraries in communes throughout the province..."
