On June 17th, Miss Ngoc Han received her Master's degree from the Hanoi University of Industrial Fine Arts . She received a score of 9.51 from the examination board during her Master's thesis defense in Applied Art History and Theory.
At her thesis defense, Ngoc Han presented a collection of ao dai (traditional Vietnamese dresses) developed from a research topic inspired by the lotus flower patterns carved on the doctoral steles at Van Mieu - Quoc Tu Giam.

Ngoc Han's husband, children, and many relatives came to congratulate her on receiving her master's degree. Some of Ngoc Han's close friends, such as Miss Phi Thuy Linh, Runner-up Hoang Anh, and artist Vuong Linh, participated in showcasing her collection at the graduation ceremony.
Ngoc Han started her master's program two years ago. During her pregnancy, she continued to attend classes and complete assignments and her thesis on time. Ngoc Han is considered a diligent and enthusiastic student in extracurricular activities.
Besides successfully defending her master's thesis, Ngoc Han completed her bachelor's degree in English, awarded by Thai Nguyen University. The beauty queen said that two years ago, she decided to pursue a research career, so she temporarily put aside many other jobs to simultaneously complete her master's degree in Applied Art History and Theory and her bachelor's degree in English Language.
Speaking to Tien Phong newspaper , Ngoc Han said she plans to pursue a PhD immediately after completing her master's program. "The research area I'm interested in is culture, especially traditional cultural values that can be applied and disseminated in contemporary life through design and art," she said.
Ngoc Han said that pursuing higher education while her child is still young would present certain challenges. "As a mother, I always want to spend as much time as possible with my child during their early years. However, I think that if I manage my time wisely and have support from my family, I can absolutely balance studying, working, and taking care of my child," she said.
The beauty queen shared that during the day she attends her master's program, and on weekends she studies English, balancing her design work with fulfilling her responsibilities as a mother.
"From the outside, people might see it as a rather stressful schedule. But I think it suits my personality. People often describe me as someone with a lot of energy, who likes to experience new things and multitask. If I have too much free time, I feel unmotivated. Despite being busy, I'm happy because I get to learn, work, and pursue what I love," she said.
She said that studying is not only about self-improvement but also a way to gain more knowledge and skills to contribute more to the field of culture and arts that she is always passionate about.
"The biggest thing I overcame was my own personal barrier. After many years working in that environment..."
"I used to think that returning to school, studying a structured curriculum, adhering to rules, and facing academic pressure wouldn't be easy. But as I embarked on this journey, I realized that I learned, adapted, and changed. I developed more discipline, focus, and perseverance. Putting myself under a strict academic framework helped me mature and become more thoughtful and responsible in my thinking and work," she said.
Ngoc Han believes that age is not a limitation to learning. "As long as you still have the desire to develop yourself, any time is a suitable time to start," she said.
Ngoc Han was born in 1989 in Hanoi and worked as a model for many years before being crowned Miss Vietnam 2010.
Besides developing her career in designing traditional Vietnamese dresses (áo dài), she also holds the position of media consultant at the Vietnam Fine Arts Museum.
