The Canary Islands in Spain attract a large number of tourists with their stunning beaches and amazing food, but there are still some lesser-known "hidden" spots. One of them is Porís de Candelaria on the island of La Palma.
From a distance, the village appears almost hidden inside a cave. With difficult roads, no electricity, and only the sound of waves echoing, life here seems completely isolated from the modern world .
There is no airport on the west coast of La Palma, and no public buses reach it. This inaccessibility is the reason most visitors never see it.

The road to get here is very hot and dusty. Those without a car or without a taxi can hike with a guide or take a small boat from Puerto de Tazacorte. But the effort is well worth it. Once you reach the village inside the caves, the air is incredibly cool and pleasant.
The sunlight reflects on the turquoise water, the fishing boats bob gently, and the houses gleam brightly, all creating a breathtaking scene.
There are no souvenir stalls, but on summer weekends, there is sometimes a kiosk selling cold drinks. Visitors can take photos of the "street" along the cliff and watch the sun set straight down into the Atlantic Ocean.
