From July 1, Duong An commune, along with 113 communes, wards and special zones of Hai Phong city, officially came into operation. This is the result of a thorough preparation process, high consensus and close direction from superiors.
Duong An commune was established on the basis of merging part of the natural area of the communes: Thuc Khang, Thai Minh, Tan Hong, Thai Duong and Thai Hoa of Binh Giang district. With a natural area of 25.53 km² and a population of 34,341 people, Duong An commune has the potential to develop agriculture , trade and services.
The arrangement of administrative units is an inevitable step to meet the development requirements in the new period. This is not only an administrative milestone but also a great opportunity to renew management thinking, develop the locality sustainably and serve the people better. We feel very excited when Duong An commune enters a new period with new opportunities. Although the road ahead may have difficulties and challenges, I believe that the new government apparatus will operate more effectively and efficiently, serving the people better.

Today, 34 provinces and cities across the country simultaneously announced the merger of administrative units, the establishment of party organizations and the appointment of leading bodies such as Party Committees, People's Councils, People's Committees, and the Fatherland Front at the provincial, city, commune, ward, and special economic zone levels. Among them, Bach Long Vi Island was officially named a special economic zone, an important milestone that has been eagerly awaited by the Party Committees, authorities, military, and people here over the past few days.
We believe that the arrangement of administrative units and streamlining of the apparatus is not just a simple administrative activity but a strategic step with profound political, organizational and practical significance. This is the premise for improving the effectiveness and efficiency of the political system and the state management apparatus.
Especially for Bach Long Vi, this event opens up a new development space, helping to better exploit the potential and special advantages of the special zone in the future. More importantly, the merger not only changes the boundaries but also creates the motivation, mechanisms and conditions for faster, more sustainable development, serving the people better.

The policy of merging communes, provinces and cities is a strategic step, demonstrating the long-term and correct vision of the Party and State in streamlining the apparatus, improving management efficiency and promoting socio-economic development. The formation of the new Tran Phu commune, which was merged from the three communes of Quoc Tuan, Tran Phu and Hiep Cat, is a concrete demonstration of this innovation process.
Not only has the administrative boundary changed, Tran Phu commune now also has a core staff transferred from Nam Sach district, many of whom have higher professional qualifications, skills and experience than before. This is an important premise for the locality to develop more strongly and comprehensively in the coming time.
In addition, the merger of Hai Duong province and Hai Phong city also opens up breakthrough opportunities for both localities. As a young party member who once held the position of Secretary of the Youth Union of Quoc Tuan commune and after the commune merger, a specialist of the Fatherland Front Committee of Tran Phu commune, I deeply feel that this change is not only a turning point for the locality, but also an opportunity for each young cadre to reflect on himself, clearly define his responsibilities, train his mettle, and be determined to contribute more to his new homeland of Hai Phong.

Hope Hai Phong City becomes a leading urban area
Through the media, I learned that on the morning of June 30, a ceremony was held to announce the resolutions and decisions of the Central and local governments on merging provincial and commune-level administrative units and ending district-level administrative units with the participation of Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh.
So the sacred moment of merging Hai Duong province and Hai Phong city has come. With my love for my homeland, I will cherish and preserve the beautiful memories of the beloved land called Hai Duong, ready to become a citizen of Hai Phong city.
Ninh Giang district, where I live, is only separated from Hai Phong city by Chanh bridge. Through many years of trading and living next to each other, the two localities have become connected and considered their own. Although I am from Hai Duong, I really love the dynamic and developing city of red phoenix flowers.
I have seen that in the past few days, local authorities at all levels in Hai Duong have been very active in completing necessary procedures, facilities, and arranging staff to prepare for the merger day.
In the joy and excitement of becoming a citizen of Hai Phong City, I hope that after the merger of Hai Duong Province and Hai Phong City, there will be strong economic, cultural and social development; strategic infrastructure investment, regional transportation connectivity, seaports and smart urban areas. In particular, I hope that the new city will develop high-quality human resources, creating many jobs so that the young generation like us will have more opportunities and choices to work and contribute.
