The first round of support will be deployed from November 22 to 24. In this round, Hai Phong will directly transfer 40 billion VND and send along with it medicines and essential supplies for initial medical work. This afternoon, November 23, a delegation of Hai Phong city officials led by Vice Chairman of the City People's Committee Nguyen Minh Hung arrived in Dak Lak to present support, and at the same time conduct a field survey to grasp the urgent needs of the locality.
Along with financial resources, the city's health sector has mobilized forces ready to reinforce Dak Lak. The list of supplies in the first phase includes 2.5 tons of disinfectants, 400,000 water disinfectant tablets and many essential medicines as requested by the Dak Lak Department of Health; at the same time, 21 medical staff from Viet Tiep Friendship Hospital and the city's Center for Disease Control (CDC) have been arranged, awaiting dispatch orders.
After the working group has specifically assessed the situation in the affected areas, Hai Phong will deploy the second round of support. It is expected that this round will focus on mobilizing additional social resources, materials and equipment according to the actual needs of the neighboring province. The City People's Committee assigned the City's Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee and socio-political organizations to preside over resource mobilization; departments and branches such as Finance, Health, Industry and Trade, Construction, Police and Military to coordinate in preparation according to Dak Lak's requirements. All work of the second round of support must be completed before November 26.
Leaders of the Hai Phong Health sector affirmed that professional forces always maintain the highest state of readiness, ready to increase at any time to support Dak Lak in controlling epidemics, ensuring environmental sanitation and taking care of people's health after floods.
Previously, on November 14, a working delegation led by Hai Phong City Party Secretary Le Tien Chau visited Dak Lak and Gia Lai provinces and presented each locality with 10 billion VND to support overcoming the consequences of natural disasters.
